Does it still count even if you haven't seen the whole tape? I heard that in the original novel (which this is based on) if you stop it before it's finished you instantly die.

Well I got it from Wikipedia so my info might not be very reliable. What it said was that in the novel the guy watches the tape and there's a part where it says in plain text "If you stop this tape you will die instantly."

What I love about Ringu/Ringu 2 is that the special effects really aren't all that cool looking, but they're believable. If this kind of crap happened in real life, then this is how it would all really look! I love these movies!
