Yo elliot, I was wondering I have always had really shitty posture. I have the duck ass and pink panther shoulders. I can't do dead lifts properly and I tried the dead holds but they hurt my lower back. I have really strong upper abs. And I have been stretching my hip flexers and my hamstrings because my hams are really tight. even though they lack a lot of muscle. What I really want is better posture routine. If you got time hit me back

What are some of the videos you have with the stretches to correct poor posture/hunchback? I don't think confidence is as much my issue as sitting in a computer chair all day, but it's still something to think about.
its usually muscle imbalances, the front deltoid and chest being stronger than the rear delts and back that give bad posture, usually down to habit too, i wouldnt say its a spiritual thing AT ALL.
I would have never thought of it this way bu it makes a lot of sense. I think it works in reverse also. When I getting ready to lift I psych myself up and gather my Ki energy in my chest and then I feel like I can lift more. Something I learned in karate classes as a kid. Always thought maybe I was just being superstitious but maybe there is something to it.
I was actually watching this video because my backs broke and I couldn't stand yesterday, I hate hospitals so I'am going to just make do and try and fix it myself. This was a good none the less.
We have a saying in Britain, if someone is annoying you you would say to them as a warning before fighting "your getting my back up", I wonder if that saying came from the protection mode you where talking about.

I'm 16 and I have the result of kyposis from thinking low of myself. I have been down about myself since I was 13. I am currently trying to think better abut myself, and I'm trying get my posture back to normal but I dont know how. Its hard because when I bring my shoulders back, my lower has a pretty extreme lordosis and it hurts.
it reminds me of aspects of Hannah Somatics by Thomas Hannah and Bioenergetics by Alexander Lowen. There is also a form of therapy working with these stress reflexes - Primal Reflex Release Technique
This helps explain a lot of things. I usually strive to maintain a good posture through habit. But from this video, I understood that there are emotional, psychological and spiritual factors that determine one's posture. Thank you for sharing this. :)

@strengthcamp You say that because of the nerve vortex attachment between heart and left arm that one can effect the other, does that work both ways? I used to get a numb shoulder/arm, probably associated with RSI, and coinciding/induced palpitations and anxiety when seemingly the mind wasn't involved (usual cause of anxiety). I'm just wondering now if that may have actually been the case and the nerve attachment was the reason. I stopped it with press ups in my computer rests!

I fixed my problem by dropping flat bench, and decline. I just do incline for chest, because i had a over developed lower chest, so my chest used to look very saggy so it gave me that down look, but now its fixed because i put on mass on my upper chest.

I have been trianing my aunt for 6 weeks now. One of her biggest problems is posture. She is in a shithole of a relationship and one of the problems is she can't express herself like she wants to. She definitively has that protective posture. I've been doing the standard muscle imbalance correction but it can only do so much if her life is just to stressful outside of the gym. This just reaffirms what I have been telling her about trying to manage her stress levels.

@Geezness63 Also, couldn't finsih the other one, also, lots of this stuff may have alot to do with "science", who knows if these famous levitation claims and or energy or object manipulation might have alot to do with science as well, people gotta remember that science is jsut a way of knowing as it is defined, it does not seek to justify something as fake or even true for the matter, cause life and technology are constantly changing. It's unforunate how there are greedy people in science.

@strukt87 he's not doing this for free. i love this guy, he genuinely wants to help people get strong. but don't be naive to think that he is valueing his knowledge and these videos at nothing. If 2000 people watch this video, maybe 500 of those will click his link. of those people maybe 200 will read about his training programmes, and of those 200 maybe 20 people will actually buy it. if his programme costs $50 he's made $1000 for an 18 minute video. everyone is a winner in this format.

@ex577 this may be the result of a "sway posture". to fix it is pretty complicated and may even be tied to your adrenal glands.

My health has been suffering for a year now and the doctors can't understand what is wrong. I have been through hell emotionally and that might be why my body is in such bad shape.

I fixed my problem by dropping flat bench, and decline. I just do incline for chest, because i had a over developed lower chest, so my chest used to look very saggy so it gave me that down look, but now its fixed because i put on mass on my upper chest.

Great video man.
I have been trianing my aunt for 6 weeks now. One of her biggest problems is posture. She is in a shithole of a relationship and one of the problems is she can't express herself like she wants to. She definitively has that protective posture. I've been doing the standard muscle imbalance correction but it can only do so much if her life is just to stressful outside of the gym. This just reaffirms what I have been telling her about trying to manage her stress levels.
