Let's Play Baldur's Gate 001 Introduction

Oh shit! I am sooo looking forward to this. *Settles down with his dinner all ready to eat and watch a lets play of a classic game he still loves to this day.* ^_^

Apart from myself does anyone else know that a survey of thousands of game developer employees from across the globe was done to find which games they thought were the best. And at number 1 was the Baldurs Gate series ^_^ How freaking awesome is that! It beat everything else! EVER!

Glad you're anticipating it--please just keep in mind, this if my very first Let's Play. :P It's nice to hear it came out on top in the survey--but it was actually for the *series* (not necessarily this first game alone), which isn't too surprising, actually: it's hard to beat 400 hours of a classic RPG! :D

Liking this Let's play. I decided to start a game of Baldur's Gate after watching this. I am using the Tutu mod and have made a Sorcerer named Glace. I am currently on video 30. Playing along side you not doing the exact same things but having a good time.

i used play balders gate 2 with my cousin , i used steal all his potions when he had to go use the toilet haha and then when we got to a boss fight he used scream "I FUCKING LOST ALL MY POTIONS FUCKING GAME IS BROKE FUCK YOU DUDE WHERE THEY GO!"

If you ever played BG2, you will notice the guy who is asking Bhaal (or sarevok) to spare his life looks like Irenicus. Watch his face after the mask is taken off after Sarevok punches the face. 1:50 -51 watch that face and the scar. It's Irenicus!

@RiseofBane I have, but a long time ago. That's an interesting observation--I don't know if it makes sense, though, because he's killed? But I don't want to look it up, because I'm trying to avoid spoiling reminders to keep it fresh for when I start Let's Playing it in October.

I remember the very first time I played this game being a bit confused, because I thought at first that the man being chased was supposed to be the player character--but then he's killed before the game even begins! ;)

@RiseofBane it's not irenicus at all, he is just some1 like sarevok or the hero, one of bhaal's sons. he is no1 important

@AyeyeBrazorf69 that might be also true, since there are many baal spawns according to ToB. But just watch his face. It's so similar :) And I also think there is good reason Sarevok needs to kill Irenicus. Irenicus is one ambitious corrupted elf who is trying to dominate the world. Obviously it will interrupt the Sarevok's plan.

@MrSentia XD Yeah, Jacob--this is a great game... the year this came out, Age of Empires, Fallout 2, Half-Life, and StarCraft were also released: 1998 was a good year! ;)
