@bakunin888 are you just incredibly stupid or just suffer from a mental disorder? Either way your opinion is meaningless, take your filthy republican socialist opinions elsewhere. I will offer you advise even though you do not deserve it, please don't embarrass yourself with a reply in defense of your slander as I will consider it your acknowledgement of your statement's idiocy. Long Live Monarchy!
@mak34237 clinging on to useless, costly, idiotic and offensive old traditions like monarchy far more closely resembles a mental disorder than wanting to get rid of them does. death to all kings!
@bakunin888 if you where properly educated you would know that democracy and its practice are in fact older than that of monarchy in Europe, by centuries. So as I advised you before, your reply would insure my argument was right. if you claim that the older form of government is the wrong one then by your own omission my argument is correct! I agree with you that democracy is overrated and I agree that monarchy is far superior as it is the newer political ideology by your standards=D
Oh yes, I was baptized as a catholic, and now I regret that! Did you know that here in Belgium many people had themselves "unbaptized" as a result of all the recent scandals with pedophile priests and bishops in Belgium? What pisses ME of is that "Rome" does NOTHING to punish them! On the contrary: they are being sent on a long holiday to a monastery in France! For me, that's a sign of "approval" from Rome! I have no problem with Christianity, the Jewish religion, Islam, or whatever.
@DianeMaria100 well what do you expect from a religion based on lies and tradition, revelation reveals this as the harlot church, with the pope at the head of it, they rewrote the commandments to suit their traditions, evil evil church, its good you have realised it!
@LauraluXoX You are correct in saying that religious differences between peoples has led to hatred and tensions and has in the past caused wars. However, religion has the power to unite people under one faith and bring much needed peace. The Catholic faith is an example of this, as it was the responsible for centuries of peace and prosperity in Medieval Europe until the Reformation came and messed everything up. Thankfully, all Christians respect each others traditions and ways of thinking.
@bornintoit Actually I don't because you are just another hateful athiest with a preducdist view on religion. There was corruption in the Catholic Church before the Reformation. But it did little good, it only tore Europe apart and left hatred everywhere. In some aspects it was not needed. It got anywhere due to the ruling class faced with divorce issues and royal matters.
@TyphoonEron I NEVER once said I am an athiest and I don't like people assuming (especially wrongly like you have) my beliefs and my personality traits. You have lost any credibility you thought you had by doing so considering that you do not know me and never will. I am just a blank face to you behind a computer screen as are you to me. I will not be replying to you anymore as you clearly do not respect other peoples opinions you just label them as hateful if they do not agree with you.
@TyphoonEron The catholic faith responsible for centuries of peace and prosperity in Medieval Europe? Obviously you've never heard about the Spanish Inquisition, the witch-hunts, the burnings at the stake for "herecy", and, more recently, about all the catholic pedophile priests and bishops who misused their authority to abuse little children.
Well, in addition to previous comments, I would like to state that you're comment is strangely at odds with the video. Mary I was executed in a country that was more inclined towards protestantism, and not so much catholicism. Moreover, I think her execution had more to do with politics than religion, although I cannot deny that even in this particular case religion was a contributing factor. The thing is, all of the abovesaid is not necessarily related to religion.
Your comment very nearly implies that christianity, or rather, the catholic church, is a corrupt institution which is trying to keep its adherents ignorant. However, if that is your opinion, and if that opinion were to be widespread among people these days, than our world is still rife with ignorance. Child abuse is not related to religion in any way whatsoever, and it would be foolish to think so.
It is even dangerous I should say. Child abuse is something that can be traced back to any institution that involves children. It is not so much that a institution is responsible, if you blame anyone at all, than it must be the individual; or rather, a society that is failing to deal with such matters effectively. If child abuse would not be such a taboo still than we would actually be able to prevent it from happening at all--or at least we would be able to limit it.
@DianeMaria100 Hello I so agree with your comments. I read a lot of history and the Spanish Inquisition makes me feel sick. I can't describe the disgust I feel for what religion has done to innocent people and that includes saria law, if you can even call it law. These horrors past and present are devised by sickos who want to carry out cruelties within the law.
We need to have public executions here in the U.S. like the old days as well as in europe.I guarantee crime will go down.Death to the Catholic church!! They have killed many innocent people for God,as Rome and the Vatican will soon fall (read Revalations)
I have always thought that this was the most appalling event. Mary went to her cousin for sanctuary and ended up her prisoner and eventually her victim. Elizabeth 1 was scared into this murder by her ministers who played on her own fears of being deposed and executed. That one piece of film was a bit too graphic for me though!
