I think the glove hand foot should be further forward than the throwing hand foot, so the triangle should not be an isosceles triangle with the base squared to the direction the ball is coming from.

I like the hand behind the leg. Good teaching idea to keep from lunging at the ball. However I can't believe you would let a girl do a drill right on top of the foul line chalk. Baseball and softball are very different in so many ways ;)
