@Carazon: I haven't seen said performance (not a Madonna fan), but I do know that Goto Maki has far more talent than Madonna, so, as the saying goes, it's not who does it first, it's who does it right.

She can't really sing and she was never that pretty, even in her prime (okay, but not outstanding). Gottsuan could sing circles around Madonna and she is much better looking and has WAY more sex appeal (Madonna manages to make sex seem repulsive). I don't hate Madonna. She is a great businessperson, but that is her only real skill.
@hdf4321: Actually, the attire looks to be in a style even older than Victorian. XD I'm not a clothing expert, but I'd say more like Rococo French (late 1700's).
why does this remind me of Madonna's live performance of 'vogue' at the 1991 VMA's? i always liked this song but the guy in the background sounds hungry like he's eatin a hamburger while he talks mmmmm.... yyyeeaahhh

The costumes fit the song, so yeah, nothing weird about it. The opening song is a Victorian song.
