To respond to the cutting springs concerns: The 03/04 Cobras are on a Linear spring, not progressive. There is no downside to cutting them. You get the low look with the stock ride quality. Win/win

Question. When people swap in the solid axle in the cobras, is it usually a ford 9 inch? What did you use?

Most commonly it's an 8.8.

I swapped in an 8.8 with 3.73 gears, Moser 31 spline axles, chrome molly control arms, and coilovers

It's an 03 Cobra so it's got upgraded brakes from the factory. Good enough for me. I want to go fast not slow :D

those brakes are barely better than the Gt's. I was dissapointed to find out they are worse than my moms 03 saab 9-3. That car is a POS and I know it, but when I drove my friends 03 anniversary edittion, those brakes just cant cut it for me and my driving habits.

A lot of people upgrade the power of their car and never touch the brakes. Acceleration is only part of the equation, but Im pretty sure the stockers wont give you any problems like this retard above you thinks. At the beg. of the vid Im thinking, wow cut springs, but as the video went it turned out pretty bad ass. Always nice to see someone doing their own wrenching as opposed to pocket book mechanics. KB or whipple? How deep into the 10s is it?

@nickoudumho 90 percent of termi owners cut their springs. it's a cheap, easier, affective way for a nicer ride height.
