when i turn my rudder axis on, my ship turns to the left and when i invert it , the right. is this a problem with my joystick or the mod?

Iv had this problem with a few games now. Its a problem with how the game accepts input; Its mixing up inputes from the joystick. Try looking on the manufactures website for the latest drivers, or Try un-plunging the joystick, and the problem should go away. Alternative, unplug your mouse, and see if that helps

We all use Joysticks. MattMan has a badass Saitek X52, but any joystick will work. We haven't played much since beta testing ended though, look for us in NeoTokyo.

A low sensitivity will actually increase accuracy. I can move my arm fast enough that I don't sacrifice reaction time by having a low sensitivity.

Odd... I understand that low sensitivity allows for more accurate tracking, but most "pro" (or w/e) players swear by high sensitivity twitch aim. To each his own, i guess.

I've had this mod installed for about three years. A few weeks ago I logged onto a server of over twenty people and found out despite my senority I sucked deeply.

Why? Until recently the most people I've ever seen on an ES server was THREE! That INCLUDES myself. Every time I logged on, it's after the amazement that there is actually someone playing! All we ever did was fly from our to the space between motherships and shoot at each other. Now, people actually PLAY the game due to Steamworks.

While that might be the case for the overall objective, all your other team mates know this, and bombers are conveniently painted with a giant KILL ME target overtop of them. It can be safely assumed that every other player on your team is going after the bombers as well, as the many newbies that are around aren't even aware of the nukes' existence.

Bombers really take priority over the nukes. If you see a bomber and a nuke incoming, go after the bomber.

It really depends on preference and situation. MattMan tends to fly in the Heavy, because he likes to take out interceptors, but Evuras and Waffles usually use fighters because of the missiles and maneuverability. Interceptors can be more difficult to use proficiently, as they are more of a support ship, but always stay away from the gunship unless you are boarding and have plenty of escorts.

Aim slightly ahead of the crosshair with your gun, the other is the missile indicator. Aim slightly ahead of it for the flak cannon and try to stay on it for missiles. Just before you launch the missile, cut your engines and flick your stick in the direction they are flying as you launch the missile. This usually guarantees a hit.

Woohoo - I hope I'll get as good as you some day. Actually I'm using a Cyborg 3D Gold and bound the directional thrust controls to my Hat Switch - it's a bit awkward at first but that allows me to not use the keyboard at all and I still have enough keys for all the important stuff.

Of course I'm NOWHERE near as good as you - actually I'm pretty much a n00b (except for ground combat).

Yeah we all use Joysticks + Keyboard except for Mattman who has this giant Sitek ridiculous joystick + throttle combo. You can get a cheap stick at best buy for like 20 dollars. Just make sure that it has both a twisting axis so you can roll.
