If this story is true (which it most likely is b/c the Deathly Hallows exists), and if the last name is right...then is James Potter related to the Paverell brothers? Thus having Harry and his children related?

I can't really be certain, if you've already read the books or not, but it gets explained pretty well in DH. By Dumbledore, no less. But in short, yes, the Potters are descendants of Ignotus Peverell. The third brother. The Cloak has been passed down through the generations from son to son, hence why James had it and why it later was given to Harry.

Yes and if you have read the sixth book, it tells us that Voldemort is related to the eldest of the Peverell brothers so Voldemort and Harry are sort of related in that sense

@rraacchh2 You know, in the original Grimm fairy tales, there was a lot of gore. People taking heads home, eating internal organs, and yes; pigs getting eaten by wolves. Little Red Riding Hood? There was no brave woodsman. The Little Mermaid? (Though it was Hans Christian Andersen.) She committed suicide because the prince married another woman. Fairy tales aren't all happy. This is actually really, really close to the Grimm stuff. Disney just happy-ed everything up.
