  • That's a lot of knives.

  • @stevesusenet I'm sorry for what happened to your father but I want this misinformation to stop. Meat, milk and eggs causing cardiovascular disease is false claim that is based on a very old study omitted variables. The study linked saturated fats with these diseases. However, you have to ask yourself how can saturated fat give us these diseases if it was the main fuel source of ancient man. Saturated fat is the stored fat in animals, why would man discard food?

  • @BrowsanChillan because unlike ancient man we don't spend our time running around jungles and hunting. We use much less energy now and that's why too much of it very bad for us. It's an evolutionary requirement: our bodies don't need as much fuel as theirs did and that's why man should discard some types of food (but then again that's my opinion, you're free to hold your own)

  • @Ryan831754 That's little myth has been (salt drawing out the moisture/making meat tough) has been debunked along with "searing in the juices" etc.

  • @Ryan831754 I can't believe it's been a year! Yes, I did my research and it's best to do so. I completely agree.

  • I just saw my father a few days after his triple bypass. It is one thing to hear how devastating those operations are, but it is another thing to see where your own father's sternum was cracked open. Cardiovascular disease and cancer are the two leading causes of death for Americans. Meat, milk and eggs are the leading contributors to these things. Don't go vegetarian, but do cut down on that crap to no more than 4 ounces a day. You and your family will be happier.

  • ,,what's with the haircut?! LOLz :)

  • very good, but olive oil dont support very hot !!! use tournesol oil !!

l'huile de tournesol supporte la chaleur élevée mais pas l'huile d'olive...

  • アメリカンステーキ食べてみたい!!!

  • hey man thanks - good vid.☺

  • Thanks bud!! Great vid, gonna give it a try. Rob

  • YOUR GOING BALD LOL!

  • @SuperMegaFart are you looking at hes head or the steak or his head ?? i bet you bold as hell

  • @SuperMegaFart u will too someday buddy ;)

  • This is one of the badest ways to do this.

Don't add salt and peper befor heating.

    Only add salt and peper.

Only turn it once while heating.

  • @Osskyw Seasoning before cooking allows the spices to sink in to the meat, adding flavor thorough instead of just the crust. Besides salt and pepper there are many other spices that can be used to cook up a good steak, if you know what you're doing. Quite a few more sophisticated grilling techniques require turning the meat over a few times more, depending on the desired 'layers of flavor' and the ingredients.

  • You shouldn't dry heat a pan unless it's cast-iron.

  • @tamick21 it may be the grilling pan made of the same material

  • Gotta cook it very quick before somebody else in the house come back quick!

  • Nice vid!

  • LOOOOL @ the song in the beginning hahaha

  • he has a tummy

  • I'm hungry.

  • I liked the sauce tip at the end, i'll have to try that.

    good video

  • how can you do medium rare by cooking it for 5-6 minutes? My steak turns black and becomes well done after 2-3 minutes

  • @nickia88 You probably have the meat to cold.

  • @nickia88 or maybe ur cookin on too high a temp??

  • i guess it depends on how thick the steak is?

  • thank u

  • Does the steak not get cold while resting after you've cooked it?

  • how long did u even cook the steak?

  • Also just wondering if you have any tips on marinating the steak? In the past I've done a light marinade of lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and a small bit of Italian dressing. It seemed to work pretty well but not sure if my timing was correct, I had it in the fridge for about 4 hours prior to cooking it. I didn't let it warm to room temperature like you said so I'll be sure to do that. Thanks again for the vid!

  • Amazing, you make it so easy to learn, and it turned out wonderful for me! You have a new subscriber sir, can't wait to see more.

  • As much as I agree with you with regards to Ramsay, the British do know their food. Look at Fortnum & Mason's. Miles higher than a lot around the world, if not all.

  • steak should only be cooked on a charcoal grill...the stovetop is for cooking eggs and boiling beans

  • Olive oil to cook, and a simple salt and pepper.

  • no seasoning !! no herbs!!

  • w00t w00t w00t

  • please , post ingredients please

  • This guy CANNOT cook a steak!! His methods are all questionable!! Yes anybody can f*** a steak up that's easy!! You HAVE to sear the outside with a burner to start with to kill bacteria - then you cannot cook it at very high temp as the proteins in the meat tighten and expell the 'juice' as this idiot praises. The juice shoulde be locked in the meat and the higher the temp the tighter the protein strands restrict in the meat losing flavour!! Me do my own steak and show this BOZO how - period....

  • you do your steak on low temp???

  • god you must be as thick as the steak he's cooking! or at least have the mental age of it... 1!!!

  • you have to sear it with a burner? are yoiu insane? what the FUCK are you talking about? YOU are the one who knows nothing. so gone on back to shuttin the fuck up.

  • that is how Gordan Ramsey cooks his steak if he cook it at high heat and hes making millions then hes got to be doing something right

  • What temp do you have the stove running? medium-high?

  • Try this and you have the perfect steak.BUT DON'T buy some cheap steak!!! If you want a good steak you have to buy a good steak! none of this cheap value crap!

  • i agree. i never buy steaks from the supermarket, i always buy from a good butcher.

also i don't believe in flipping a steak more than once in the pan

  • is a medium rare steak good?

  • Not at all! if it's a solid piece of meat (ie not ground), all the bacteria is concentrated on the surface. Searing the meat well kills the bacteria on the outside, pretty much eliminating the risk of getting sick. I eat my steak blue (seared on the outside, raw and cool in the middle). Granted, there's no such thing as risk free meat (or fish, or chicken, or LETTUCE!), but if you buy a quality steak from a good butcher the risk is really low. EAT RARE!!

  • You must also drive a Prius.

    Stick to salads you pussy.

  • Are you a private chef on a yacht, or are you just hell rich and you're holidaying?

  • very goooooooooooood

  • What i do is when each side is half way done, spin the steak 90 degrees. this gives it another set of searing lines, which gives it a nice hatch mark look. it does nothing for the flavour, it takes literally 2 seconds to do, and yet people love it :P

  • The extra movement loses some flavor, not a lot, but look versus taste? You decide.

  • he said cook medium rare where its pink in the middle thats just medium not medium rare, medium rare is when more then the center is pink and medium well is when a thin line in the center is pink and medium has a pink middle... shows how much he knows about steaks... i love mines medium so i know the differences

  • 4 months ago I found this videio, cooked the perfect steak.

I have never found a better way to do steak.

    Great video mate.

    BB

  • Did the guy just recycle olive oil? Oil becomes carcinogenic after its been reheated.

  • How lame is this post........sad

  • go facefuck your priest

  • Your the kind of guy that gets frustrated and punches walls aren't you?

Things don't go your way often do they?

    Like you said ....Sad.

  • poor some nacho cheeze and 47 suace over that bitch :D

  • What i like to do is insted of putting pepper on it but some hot sauce on.

  • nice and simple.

i do this all the time, love it.

  • Comment removed

  • what an imbecile. head back to mcdonalds.

  • salt & pepper, that's all I need for a good steak.

  • Do you get paid every time you say steak sauce?

  • That was easy. I tried it and it tasted good.

  • Great recipe! Love it!

  • bla bla bla ye saps

    great video

  • I tried this but my ribeye came out rare, not medium rare. Perhaps the cut was too thick.

  • I didn't learn anything.

  • THANKS ALOT im gonna try it

  • I like the sauce u made at the end;however, the secret to making steaks is not what other chefs agree on but fliping it. Seasoning is up to the person but cooking perfect meat is keeping it turned. Dont ask a chef, ask a grandmother or oldschool cook.

  • He said Bloke, what is a Bloke

  • a male

  • he didn't show us the pinkiness on the inside, he probably overcooked it, lol. So he was too embarassed to show everyone that he made a mistake and should've taken it off the heat much earlier xP

  • agreed.

  • you do know that becuz you agreed with me now, that ppl are gonna start giving you thumbs down too xD haha

obviously some ppl dont agree with me and has givin me 3 thumbs down, lol xD

Honestly, what i said makes sense, i'm not putting the cooker down or anything, he didnt show us the medium rare. Like you cant just do things and not be able to prove it at the end that it works, right?

  • it's cool man sometime the underdog is the one who makes the most sense... just that fascism gets the best out of it so you become censored so its cool... but i totally agree w/ u the guy can be the next chef ramsey for all i respect him but its just my personal opinion... throwing it out there... atleast we arent peta meat hating activist that could be worse 80

  • thats nice =)

now can you please translate all that you said in simpler English please =D haha xP

so have you mastered cooking a steak yet? cuz i have, i can make the perfect steak now, whether its medium rare or well done etc.

but seriously though, beef cost so much nowadays in the supermarkets. I only eat it once a fortnight, lol xD most other times im eating chicken =D

  • lol i just said i agreed with you in complicated words no worry mate.... but yeah no i like trying different ways you know spices here and there or oils, or marinates you know different ways i read online, my personal though just some simple herbs lemon juice a pinch of salt let it marinate and grill wallah man good stake ... but yeah it is man prime or choice is so price now a days... but worth it loll but chicken is healthier goodluck man

  • dude were you high when you wrote this comment?

  • very detailed; great advice

  • Just cooked the steak exactly like you showed.

    YUMMY/PERFECT/FINGER-LICKIN GOOD !!!

  • LEGIT STEAK...

  • The steak needs to be thicker and if you are doing it indoors I like a cast iron skillet over this Teflon grill pan. Trust me, I have used both.

  • It's impossible to cook the perfect steak in a pan. The perfect steak is grilled.

  • great video poor audio

  • You're method( cooking over the stove ) is best, especially when your landlord is doesn't want you to use the charcoal grill.

  • I personally like to cook my steak over an open propane fire, with a bunch of pepper, salt, and washashire (sp) sauce. Never used oil before.

    Good video

  • The perfect steak rule is turn the steak only two times its important to hold the meet juice into the steak

  • olive oil is absolutely not helthier than butter! Most of people blive that but its wrong. Butter taste better aswell.

  • lol... Butter is like 70% saturated fat... and Olive oil is like 80% unsaturated fat (healthy oil)...

Butter wins in taste. Can't argue with that.

  • That the unsaturated fat is the best fat is a myth! The best fat is acually pure animal fat. We humans can use this fat better as energy. Thats becous the fat cells is simular to our fat cells.

Bacon, pork, and some sauces isin't as bad as most people think!

The wurst criminal, by far, is the sugar!

  • although your facts may be correct, it does not apply in a modern world where we no longer have to do any excersice if we choose not to

  • what the hell? Olive Oil is Omega-9 and very health unsaturated fat. Your "healthy" butter is BAD saturated LDL FAT o LARD! The faux fat-free butters are NO DIFFERENT! Soy derived butters that will mess up your thyroid T4s and make you FAT, grow facial hair for girls and grow boobs for guys!

  • good vid, and he is irish, also he was on dragons den in the uk

  • oh god, that stovetop looks fucking annoying to cook with. how do you cope?

  • what about tabasco

  • it's very dilisiouse!

  • Watch his Pro version.

  • u want us to cook the same steak 4 ever ?

i make my special sauce(bbq garlic lemon pepper salt and some tobasco with cream)

  • That seemed too simple. Does it really taste good?

  • Do a steak exactly like the video and it is great. So tender and juicy.I us a stopwatch to time it.I like my steak with No red in the middle so i use a grill pan, doing it for 90 secs then move it around half way on the same side for a further 90 secs. Then turn it over for the same time on the other side.Spread butter or garlic butter on the cooked side.NEVER redude the heat. Then Rest for about 2 mins.Important to bring to room temp and rest after cooking.Thats the key.Try and Enjoy.

  • Never heard of red meat causing cancer. Does he sound American?

  • Hi ya - red meat is a carcenogen. The body can not fully dispose of waste and meat bi-products. Hes not American. Hes from United Kingdom me thinks.

  • Sehr schön. Very nice!

  • what is the third and fourth thing u put on steak and on the pan ?????? thanks

  • Fucking nice dude!! That's the best steak since ever

  • I tried this.Brilliant.Now i can cook a steak like they do in a restaurant. How do you cook it with butter though????

  • After you turn it for the last time put a pat of butter in the pan and while it melts spoon over the meat. You can also add thyme sprigs or rosemary sprig to the butter which will flavor it.

  • Omg yes! My moms cooking steak for dinner! Poor cows though.

  • Good job.. Thanks for posting

  • Your saliva is all around the steak, pal.

  • DRAGONS DEN. LOL

  • now i'm hungry

  • that's not an inch thick

  • PROTEIN!!

  • I LOVE MEAT!!

  • Saw you on Dragons Den! Well done

  • DRAGONS DEN LOL

  • LMAO. Oddly enough the website itself is down at the moment :P

  • ok scientists everywhere listen to me

    INVENT TASTE-O-VISION!!! NOW!!!! FUCK NUKES

  • Ohh try putting butter or garlic butter on the side you have just cooked and see the difference in flavour.Surperb.

  • I followed this video and cooked the best steak i have ever cooked at home.

  • I can't believe you recommend cooking it fast! If it works it works though. I've always found steaks to hold juices better if they simmer for a good 30 minutes. Of course, olive oil prevents it from drying out as well. Good watch though non the less.

  • its the way to go, at most i put mine in the over for about 8 mins after a good sear

it is wayyy better than cooking it slow, when you do it slow you kind of boil the steak in its on jucies, its not as good as it sounds

  • hey man, you used the raw dirty dish that you raw steak was put on.

    i could not believe

  • =/ People are far too over sanitary these days, its actually unhealthy. Please remember that evolutionarily speaking humans are still designed to eat vegetables and meat raw, of all types, omnivores. The only reason we can't is because we've all become so bloody sanitary that we've ceased building immunities to new strands of bacteria and viruses for the last thousand years or so... Just food for thought. Beef is actually relatively safe to eat raw.

  • ...and he's right!

  • don't ever do that when cooking though, you can do plenty to boost your immunites without getting sick from raw meat juices

    it's not a good idea

  • i don't think so, it's just a different dish in a simmilar position

notice how much olive oil was on the dish when he took the steak off, the dish is clean

  • lol beef steaks come from cows not pigs

  • i heard that steak can litterally turn your stomach inside out. just like the pig the steak came from....weird huh?

  • great! i need to buy that pan, because my grill kettle just broke =]

  • Good thanks man

  • I can't thank you enough for this ifood video mann...the steak was AMAZING!!!!!!!!! i smoked out the house on the 1st steak but is was worth it... =) LOL. You made me look real good with the Fam'...they don't even eat steak(like me) and we were fightin' like a pack of ravenous wolves over the last piece(of course we all shared it). Thanks for the easy instructions and adding a strong weapon to my cooking arsenal!!! You've won a faithful follower.

  • Nice video good for people who dont really know how to cook steak, sound quality needs to be a bit better all round great video explained properly

  • I eat meat because cows fart methane and carbon into the atmosphere and this is dangerous for our enviroment. I am keeping the balance

  • LOL! i eat meat because i'm the hilter against vegetarians.

  • i eat meat because i agree with you. that and my muscles have lots of protein. ever see a vegans muscles. pitiful.

  • lmfao! its funny because its true.

  • Although ive got a few veggie mates and i can see where theyre coming from , it is disgustig how fast food animals are bred. Organic is cool.

  • this is not fast food

  • I am amused by all of the vegan hits on a video about steak. Missing something?

  • i got hungry from watching this video

  • WARNING: Red meat causes bowel cancer.

  • WARNING:overcooked meat tastes like shit.

  • ??? wtf?

  • warning: you only live once. enjoy it.

  • Trust me..living with cancer isn't "enjoying life". I watched my grandfather spend a long time moaning in agony, slowly turning into a skeleton until he died...It's not worth it.

You don't have to eat shit to enjoy a good life. I am very happy and healthy, thank you very much.

I don't think your victims are enjoying their short lives of confinement, pain, and suffering.

  • Here's a thought that you may not have any room for: some local farmers actually care about their animals and give them a very fine existance. Egg layers and milk cows, for example, can live happy, healthy lives on a farm which mimics nature but protects them from predation and disease. Hard to see these creatures as victims really . . . beneficiaries maybe.

  • And do you think cows just lactate all the time for no reason? They produce milk for their babies. They are artificially inseminated (raped) and their babies taken away so we can steal the breastmilk. Egg laying hens are usually killed when production declines and male chicks are killed since they don't produce. They ARE victims of speciesism.

  • What doesn't cause cancer these days, just enjoy life.

  • You need to look up paleolithic nutrition. There are NO stats that prove red meat causes anything but good health. It's the bread & potato that are killing you - &, in combination with meat, it's really bad. Look it up. It is my untested theory(this doesn't imply false) that it is fiber, not meat, that causes bowel cancer. We evolved eating bone marrow and the ocassional seasonal fruits, nuts and berries. Of course, maybe you don't believe in science - in which case I'm wasting my breath. peace

  • You fucking idiot!

  • I am compelled to recommend anger management classes.I'm just saying. . .

  • This has nothing to do with anger, my opinion is your a fucking idiot!
