@popnstart Nobody bothered explaining it to me, I had to figure it out. Ok, you see the bottom right of the video? Count 3 boxes left from that, and you will see something that looks like " [CC] ".. Click that. Problem solved. ?
very helpfull one thing though is that you cant rotate the chain .motor has to run to do that .if you go to harley performance they so you how to make a jack for about 20 dollars that lets the bike stand there while you can do this adjustment
Hello, I have a few questions. Does the bike have to be on a level stand or is the kick stand fine? Does the bike have to be in gear or neutral? Can the rear tire be on the ground or off of on a stand? I assume those measurements are for a cold bike. What are the signs of a loose primary chain? Great video BTW. Flip
@hddm3 Sure. It'd just be good to see it done right. And as for 'dumb ass'??? I just saved you the cost of an expensive repair or premature wear of your primary. You owe me a beer.
Thanks for your help. Every yahoo can always do it better (hence all the posts). Thanks for taking the time to post video. Good to see it along with reading it in manual
To do this right you need to find the tightest spot on the chain and that's much easier with the primary cover off. If not, take the plugs out and put it in 5th turning the motor by turning the rear wheel (get a mate to check for the tightest spot as you go). Also, do it with the bike warm as the chain will be tighter then than cold (cases expand when hot). This guy's doing a half-arsed job I wouldn't pay for. Oh, buy a factory manual and forget YouTube.
It's only the primary. If the cover is off you can clean the insides but there's really no 'flushing' necessary. Just stick to at least factory specified intervals and good quality oil. Harley oil is perfectly OK.
what is the measurement on the tape measure?

Does anybody think it's a good idea to flush the system with fresh oil while everything is apart?
