I have this and the original Dark Forces, and i must say that this remake does do the original game justice. I still think the originals better (partly cuz the full remake hasnt been released yet but when it is i will get it) and some of the remade maps kinda threw me off a bit. Anoat City Sewers is still confusing in both versions. Every time i play it i turn to Youtube for a how to on that level

I tried this Mod, (finally, might I add), and I found it really difficult. Honestly, I got stuck in the first hallway... That says a lot about me, and a fair bit about you my man. This was a great LP over all, and it's a shame they did not finnish it. But anyway, I hope you DO do a new LP soon. I look forward to anything you churn out.

You're right, the mod does look very good. Only problems are a few glitches that I hope will be fixed by the designers. The designers for this mod are probably far more competent than the designers of Republic Commando (an epic fail there).

Also, the glitched out model for Kyle looks a lot like some retarded grayish-black Power Ranger.

If someone had an awesome, somewhat normal voice while in a "Lets Play," they'd probably have millions of subscribers. If you wanted to record the original Dark Forces game, you need to run it through dosBOX, which is the only way to get it to run in Vista or Win7.

I would also reccommend using it on XP if you wanted to record as dosBOX has a record function. Problem is, it won't pic up your voice.

If camstudio is screen-recording software, then you could use that. If you record voice with something like audacity, then thats fine too. I've used Camtasia for this, as it records sound from the microphone.

There's always a catch to these missions... why not just send Luke and a bunch of other rebels to attack the place? Why send one mercenary... though I disagree about Yoda's voice in Republic Commando. It was meant to be like that. They used it so it sounded like he really was talking through a hologram. I know the game is called "Dark" forces, but this mod is ridiculous. Why are all the levels set at night? Why do all the imperial bases look like they're lit with children's night-lights? I know Windows has a problem with gamma and mine probably isn't set "correctly", but half the screen shots on the project page are pitch black!

It does look good, when you can actually see anything. Too bad it'll probably never get finished.

Nice mod! I've never played this game (because I suck at PC games, give me an Xbox game anyday), but the detail in this is amazing.

And yeah, blaster damage on the 'troopers is sweet. No helpful tips here. You seem to have things handled well. (I wouldn't have picked Extreme, but... I'm wimpy like that.)
