NO NOT SORT OF LIKE AL DID AT ALL, HUH. bush had more votes but enough counties were too close too call and other counties had issues of voter intimidation and miscounted ballots. thats why the supreme court stopped the recount. because if it had continued then al gore would have won. franken was behind too but it was so close the recount had to happen by law and it showed he won. so LUCKILY the supreme court didnt fuck up this race too.

I didn't care about that particular Minnesota senatorial election until Norm Coleman started declaring himself the winner when it was a toss-up and suing to have votes discounted. Does that sound democratic to you? So I support Franken by default.

I don't know where you get your information but Big Al was the one who keeps fighting and suing to have votes not counted. Or more correctly to have only the votes counted that he wants counted.

In a 85-90% DFL county there were more votes counted than there were registered voters!??? But that's o.k. with Big Al because the votes were for him. The guy is a joke, and a bad one at that.

I know it isn't up to Harry Reid to get rid of Specter. But Reid always comes out in public as this deferent, weak leader, always trying to smooth any ruffled feathers, never showing any strong principle.

It is up to Reid to put public pressure on Specter to straighten up, to put some fear into Specter that if he doesn't play the part of Democrat, he can't count on the support of the Democratic leadership.

As far as the constituents removing Specter, that remains to be seen. I sincerely hope Rep. Sestak throws his hat in the ring.
