  • WTF?! I can't hear Curt!

  • I can't even imagine Tears covering a lesser band than them. It's sacreligous.

  • Nice sound. So many memories. Awesome. Thanks mate :)

  • That dude is gettin' down' on that Xylophone....I love it!

  • Comment removed

  • I love the funky xylophone!

  • Los inolvidables ochentas....muchos recuerdos....mmm...

  • Amazing

  • Another BIG crowd favorite.

  • Are you fecking serious! I loved these guys - saw them in concert at their peak in Sydney. This is just insipid crap. Go for the money guys - there is obvioulsy enough out there to grab.

  • Great stuff and thank you for uploading...reminds me of being a kid in the 80's.

  • Awesome !!!

  • I love the bottles

  • FAB.......

  • Roland sounds awesome-and the drones who post here

in a negative light are simply music boneheads...

  • He sounds completely different than his live performances earlier on in his career, something is missing :-( I know he's not a spring chicken anymore but it's still dissapointing

  • This shows why Tears for Fears imploded. A Group that surfed the wave of synth pop do their gigs with... xylophones and huge bands. They still don't realise what they had.

  • Wait didn't disturbed write this song or did they cover it??

  • @TheYoungOutdoors only about 16 years after Tears for Fears....

  • @TheYoungOutdoors Disturbed covered it. Tears For Fears have been writing and performing this song since 1985. :)

  • @TheYoungOutdoors Yes, Disturbed did a cover of their song, Shout. However, Disturbed didn't write this song hehe. Not to sound mean, but there's no way a band like Tears for Fears would cover a song by such a lesser band than them, like Disturbed. Tears for Fears is a legend, Disturbed on the other hand, well, they aren't even in the same category. :)

  • @88soyabean No they wouldn't cover a lesser band than them. Usually it's the other way around and the lesser bands cover them. :)

  • @88soyabean

    I agree...........

  • @TheYoungOutdoors Wow... for one of the first times I feel old. I'm 31, about to turn 32. And to read a comment from someone who knows a band like Disturbed more than Tears For Fears... I'm speechless. But if you're young, I can't blame you. Not your fault not knowing. Just so shocked that this is something anyone wouldn't realize.

  • Wish i was there..

  • Drummer has got it going on with that little twirl & a smack at 2:17.

  • Oh my God what a marvelous way of bringin back all the sweet memories yet the bitter ones too, haha, great song and still loving every minute of it, thanks for posting and greetings all the way from Guanajuato, Mexico.

  • 4 People would rather their lives be run by someone else, and never stand up for what they believe in.

  • OMG eargasm !! Bring the 80's back

  • Em Belo Horizonte, Brazil em outubro 2011 eu estarei lá .aguardo ansiosa

  • simple but strong lyrics. love this group.. miss them.

  • the bands original drummer was Manny Elias..

  • The backup singers are an annoying distraction. Why are they there if there is a chorus?

  • @Monkofmagnesia Because it's them and an orchestra. Not much can be done about the chorus. But I do wish that they wouldn't use those annoying back up singers.

  • Real bands have more than 5 members.

  • @Ironmanissocool It's because of these two guys that Tears For Fears even exist. They are often imitated but never duplicated. Many have tried to duplicate their talent but have failed miserably and who says that "real bands have 5 memebers?"?

  • @CelesteK more than 5 members. if you're going to quote me, do it right.

  • @Ironmanissocool So basically what you're saying is that Tears For Fears isn't a "real" band because Roland and Curt are a duo? Lots of bands from T4F's era are less than 5 members and have you ever heard of a little thing called "back up musicians?"? They did have back up musicians back in the day.

  • @CelesteK Did you even watch that video? There were WAY more than 5 people there. When I say members, i'm counting all the backup instrument playing people too. Gosh, someone is in a bad mood...go pick a fight with someone else.

  • @Ironmanissocool Of course there are way more than 5 people. It's them and an orchestra.

  • @Ironmanissocool Okay whatever! So basically what you're saying is that Tears For Fears isn't a real band because Roland and Curt and the only two in this band? Hello?! Have you ever heard of back up musicians? They did have back up musicians back in the day and they have back up musicians now.

Which is why I said "who says that real bands have to have only 5 members in them?"? A band can be whatever people want it to be.

  • Alright who are the 4 asshats who don't know how to "Shout Shout let it all out?"?

  • It's nice to see both of them on better terms and laughing and smiling the way that they used to do back in the day. :) I can't even remeber the last time I saw Curt crack a smile like he's doing right here. :)

I guess everybody grows up sooner or later and Curt and Roland have definitely grown up here. :)

  • this song is amazing *---*

  • This performance (like the other songs "Sowing the Seeds of Love" and "Everybody Wants to Rule the World") is a spectacle in the best sense of that word. Truly impressive production values that should be recognized by anyone who has even just half a brain. And of course, then there is the music itself which is is the heart of the spectacle.

  • cool...

  • I'm wearing my headphones and I can hear the crowd chanting "Shout Shout Let It All Out!!"

  • Brasil ama as vossas musicas

  • Wow! I hope they come to Brazil soon with those sexies backing vocals.

  • you can feel the quality here.. the planning and how many rehearses did this take?

    very impressed...

  • Fantastic, Incredible, Amazing, Awesome, Powerful! Someone fetch me a thesaurus! I don't know enough words to describe how awesome this is.

  • Great!!

  • i like the version on skins

  • Is this being played at Maddame Tussaurds by any chance?

  • wow, the audience sucks

  • I love it that his voice didn't really change over the years. He still sounds brilliant.

  • Wow, he sounds completely different from his 1985 live concert, not to thrilled. Some artist don't lose their voice as they age but he certainly did.

  • @coastiemom2005 Well, Roland's no spring chicken that's for sure. The only reason why he's lost his voice is because he got older. Other than that he sounds fantastic. :)

  • I like Roland, I like Curt, I like the xylophone player, I like the drummer, and the rest of the band. Everything about this performance is good with the exception of those back up singers who have no concept of what's called "personal space!"

  • @CelesteK "Personal space" tends to be a "North American" thing. If you find yourself in Europe or Russia, don't be surprised that you won't have any personal space...

  • That guitar solo is SO good...I just feel it coming! God I love it.

  • My god they are almost 30 years and Roland Orzabal equal this one not to changed physically seems that tubiera 25 years of age that incredible!!

  • HQ!!!

    I'm talking to you!!

  • X factor Cher brought me here :D

  • great song from 1984.....good to see the guys have aged the same as me.....

    special song to me.

  • @chrisdavid4026 Actually it's from 1985. :)

  • génial !! j'adore

  • keep an eye on the violinist at 5:09 he really loving it hehe great stuff :)

  • I wish he wasn't so shy with the guitar volume need to crank her up.

  • They dont write songs like that anymore, the test of any good song is the ability to stand up and play with a large orchestra, well this is rock at its best, with a James Bond style themed ending, TforF were awesome and are still awesome!

  • Very good! But Roland could have switched his voicebox lower in the beginning, to create his more howling signature, earlier in the song. I still prefer the '84 version.

  • REPITO........Q DELICIOSAS SE VEN LAS CORISTAS........ESTE TEMA TAMBIEN ES UNA CHINGONADA......

  • was never a big fan of TFF but liked a few songs this is one of them love this well done, now a fan but 20 plus years to late

  • xxxxxxLUV YA

  • Casual jeans and shirt and the hair, that's the original roland style :)

but i like that backup singer on the left :D

  • Orzabal voice is still amazing..

    Love tears 4 fears

  • Super!

  • Ótima música, ótimo clipe!

Nós do Brasil amamos as músicas lindas de

    Tears for Fears!

    Beijos do Brasil!

  • This is totally amazing. That's it, I'm buying the damn tickets to see them at the Hammerstein! I think I'll actually enjoy this more than Rush.

  • KICK ASS BAND

  • @kittycat101010 Roland and Curt are Tears For Fears but the rest of them are just back up musicians.

  • is this the real tears for fears? DAMN its liek their voices got better with AGE! O_O

  • These guys were playing in Brisbane the same night I was flying off to Ireland to see Nik Kershaw. If only I could have been in two places at once! Sigh....

  • Great sound!

  • thats my jam!!!!!!!

  • i like this song. But the version from disturbed is better

  • on ne se lasse pas d'entendre cette toune! année après année.

  • Does anyone know who the drummer is?

  • This song is so relavent to this day. With all the crazyness going on! Thanks for the upload. Gonna see if da band will play the instrumental....WHHHAAAAAT!

  • AWESOME!

  • Loving this! Roland is the best singer

  • love it

  • Awesome!

  • one of the hottest songs ever made

  • The Tuxedo Clad Gentleman Double-Sticking the Marimba and also the glass bottles look so much like a Younger version of Roland Orzibal. Anyone know if this may be the case? Cool Version of this classic.

  • Ahh... why does the chorus have to do the lame dances? haha. The backup singers look good doing their dances though. haha. And the violinist @5:20 as well. ha. And who is this drummer? There's just something about his style that I like.

  • @money9033 The drummer is Trevor Murrell.

  • @ogmuk they changed him right?

  • @Dessa792MIB Tears for Fears are just Curt and Roland now. The last couple of years Trevor Murrell did the drumming for every NOTP edition, for every artist (unless they bring their own drummer).

  • @money9033 good points made can't say enough totally AWESOME!!!

  • @money9033

Dont know him but I concur, the drummer is awesome and looks efortless.

  • every time I watch one of their Night of Proms vids, I wish I was part of the crew! Such a great performance... every time.

  • @girllovesmusic

    ME TOO!!!!

  • Sounds a lot more awesome live

  • tears for fears ROCKS!!!

  • That xylephone player is hitting liquor bottles!! The drummer is actually hitting that deep tom when it needs to be hit!!!! Very good performance!!!!!

  • TFF are so good - a big song from a big chair...it moves my heart, my feet, my soul. Still wonderful!!!

  • I get chills watching this!

  • That guitar solo still kicks some serious butt even after all those years...still gets me every single time i hear it...Gotta love those cabaret/Moulin Rouge style corsets the chorists are wearing.

    Good stuff !

Thanks for posting this up ;) Much appreciated !

  • Gawd the audio in this venue is terrible! You can't even hear Curt.

  • He is Wearing a UFO Tee-Shirt Hell Yea...!!!

  • i just think towards to the end it should be more rock and roll :D

  • wow, that drummer is way way cool. I wish I could beat my drums like that.

  • I had to come back, this is so good, thankyou for posting this!!!!!

  • Brilliant !

  • Kent iemand die zwartharige schoonheid die ik in het vorige comment besproken heb?

  • Prachtige song en goed gebracht met al die goede musici.Voel me weer 17.

Vind de zangeres met de zwarte lange haren (van het achtergrondkoor in close up met haar armen overkruis) een prachtige verschijning.Prachtige muziek en mooie vrouwen, wat wil een mens nog meer?

  • outstanding

  • TFF ever :)

  • I fell in love with my soon to be future husband on a road trip to Laguna Seca in 1985. Thx, TFF for the memories.

  • I was in a group home right around the corner in 85 to 88

  • TFF always got hot chick backup singers!

  • Good music needs beautiful girls.

  • lol telemarketers @ 1:08

  • Great, super fantastic upload - the 80's - Tears of Fears - right up there on my shelf of memories... Thank you.

  • i love this song so much!! many thanks !!

  • Love this band! Great arrangement for this song, it was here come those chills through my body! Glad to see them again!

  • Great arrangement.. but what a pity, esecutors are not so strong and incisive

  • Nope. Curt and Roland performed that song back in 1985.

  • lol no. this song is from the album "Songs From The Big Chair". It was released in the mid of the 80's ..

  • gtfo

  • Roland is still drop dead gorgeous

  • What's with the -2s for asking a question?

  • Drunkards in the audience shouting the chorus near at the beginning = FAIL

  • who cares? they know the song and you can file yourself as one of the things"i can don with out"

  • FAIL???? EPIN!!!

  • Just amazing. they are brilliant.

  • nice to see you back again....

  • I adore Roland. More than adore him. Thanks Ogmuk!! Awesome quality! I owe you my life :D

  • I LOVE THE SMOOTH MUSIC

  • UNBELIEVABLE !

  • i should use that song for my band class

  • Holy cow I'm speechless (almost)! I've favorited a LOT of videos on YouTube, and I'd put this one in the top five. FANTAAAAAAAAAASTIC!

  • So happy to see them still around and back together. My 31 yr old daughter went with me at age 8 and knew every song at the concert. It remains her favorite and also mine, now age 54. Thank you Tears for Fears, rock on. You will always be in my heart !

  • what a performance... WOW... amazing

  • One of the best in the world, they deserve a world wide recognition for decent and excelent music!!! TFF RULES!!!

  • holy shit. this is clearer than my TV. haha.

  • haha true!!!

  • Fantastic quality ogmuk!

Love the intro, love the vocals, love the song, love the lyrics - gosh, I just love Tears for Fears!

"These are the things I can do without"!

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WONDERFULL!

    I love!!!

  • their performance is amazing... totally impressed with the number of people on stage. man that is a production!

  • true, now I understand why the high ticket price (I heard $500 plus), they have a lot of people to pay, but is worth every penny and second of it!

  • Best seats cost about 45 EUR and best standing (were not available at this specific concert) right in front of the stage are only 32 EUR. Cheaper than most concerts I go to and better music too. ;)

  • not familiar with EURs but sounds great!! :D I want to see them so bad, hope they come to FL one day... :(
