I used the camcorder's XP shooting setting for highest video quality and Intelligent Auto mode. This camera works best in bright, but not direct sunlight..

Hello, i got the same cam but if i upload a video here the quality is very bad and the pixelsize is tall. Can you tell me which settings, format, and type of file you are using? Sorry for my english, but i'm from Germany... Thank you
The Panasonic SDR-S26 camera shoots in widescreen and therefore automatically formats the movie in widescreen when you upload it to the computer. When you export the movie file from your editing software (I use iMovie on an iMac) you must make sure that you select a 960x540 format. Hope this helps.
@Camerago I'm thinking about getting this camera because of it zoom. Can you give me an estimation of how many feet or meters you were away from that bird?
I have a problem man. I just broyght this panasonic camera and, yeah, it works pretty cool. But i cant see the images in my pc as windows media player, i dunno why. I took the ntcs zone because im from latin america, but it still doesnt work. I tell you this because i want to edit on windows movie maker. If you help me i will apreciatte :) thanks.
I have a SDR-S26 and am using it to document the activities of some barn owls that live across the street from my house. Would you please describe your camcorder settings you use? Also, which video editing tool do you use and what settings to you use when creating the file that you upload to youtube? Thanks.
I use the XP setting and Intelligent Auto Mode. I edit in iMovie 09 - I use a Mac because I find it easier than a PC. I export the file in .M4V format, 960x540 resolution. Google .M4V files for explanation of this format. I then use the Youtube uploader as normal. Hope this helps
