In this video poisonous American TV, dated 1980, Abba is presented as a "group frame"that only thrives because it has "two hot chicks and a brilliant marketer, " not because he has talent and knows how to make music. Prejudice is so much that transpires until the title ("Wonderful Scandinavia). And what's worse: not sure to write the names of the respondents they care. Who knew ... Abba is recognized today in the U.S. too.

My my, so many TYPOS in their names, the sign of a true badly made documentary with no attention to detail of the main protagonists by the producers. If people are going to produce a film, get the names right!
I'm not surprised the english speaker pronounces the ä in Fältskog like an a, but how come he also pronounces the a in Lyngstad more or less exactly the same as the o in Fältskog? Is that even compatible with english pronunciation?
English speaking people obviously couldn't care less how "foreign" names actually SOUND!?
@Svettjodd Or spelt! did you notice Agnita Falpskog, Freda Lyngstad and Stig Andersen. I can understand that people may have difficulty in pronouncing words, but at least spell the name of your guests right! No excuse for this as there would have been time in post production for a little research!
the parody are a Swedish dragshow group called After dark. they are highly successful in Sweden. they have even partiscipated in the Swedish Melodifestivalen twice. Christer Lindarw (founding member) is also a known costumedesigner. he made, amongst other things, Lill Lindfors famous dress that she "lost" when she was hostess at the Eurovision song contest in Sweden 1995.
Yes. she got less atention form media, but actually her singing was just as good as agnetha's. I've heard that agnetha was the "blonde" one, and frida was "the less beautiful" . That's all wrong, they're both beautiful in their own way!
Yes you're right this is a parody, but Abba are not a group to make fun of. They have given us all wonderful music that will last forever. That makes this sketch insulting. They've got the B's wrong as well. The 1st B should be reversed, not the 2nd. That's the official Abba logo, something unique to them.
@abbafanglosuk The Abba logo is a registered trademark, so they wouldnt have been able to use it, probably why they reversed the other B. I didnt find this particular sketch insulting, and thought of it as a little fun. Im sure Agnetha and Frida wouldnt have said they like it if they didnt. They are both very strong minded women. There have been a lot worse personations of Abba.
That commentator and whoever wrote the names under agnetha, frida and stig really can't spell!!
If he's going to be a presenter, he should learn to say their names first and how to spell them before he does to show. ARRGGGHHHHH. Can't he spell?!?!
haha, the Frida impersonator cracked me up! Definitely very exaggerated with the dancing, but did she wear butt padding or something? Frida said something about it looking too big.

Frida was annoyed I think, but she smiles only.
Love you girl.

Yep,they are the same, the only one is their hair.☺
Their nationality.
It keeps me hurted everytime they are comparing the two gals, especially when Frida always receives bad judgements.☻

Overdone is the understatement, how can anyone personate Agnetha and Frida leave it at that
shandi1122 4 years ago
I agree, those Yanks should show more respect.
The impersonators are insulting, compared with today's polished tribute bands.
abbafanglosuk 4 years ago
I don't believe this was a 'tribute' band.
This was a parody for fun. They did get the
performing personalities of the girls a bit
mixed up-the 'blonde' just stood there, while
the 'redhead' did both Frida AND Agnetha.
It was Ags who tended to wave her arms and
display her miraculous asset. Did you notice
that the 'ABBA' sign had the 'B's backwards?
