37% being graduates wouldn't surprise me. I was "lucky" enough to be able to read the manifesto. You come across the bit about education? I may be paraphrasing a bit but it basically mentioned limiting foreign students and lecturers (oookay?), limiting forgeign course materials (....ok) and restricting access to foreign research material (WHAT?!)
How are we supposed to work within that environment? We NEED access to that research! It just seems fuled by xenophobia rather than rationality.

Feeling worried about it, after all we MAY just one day be living in a nationalist state, I rang a BNP councillor about it. (there isn't one where I live so I had to ring another constituancy) and "politely" asked him to explain; he said it was, and this was a direct quote, "To promote the spirit and tradition of British entrepreneurship and invention". Bullshit.
I'll admit this was the 2005 manifesto, so they may have taken it out since. But the fact that they PUT IT IN THERE annoys me.

a) Fascism wasn't a specific, right wing, system of government and political philosophy - being an authoritarian is necessary though not sufficient to fascism.
