  • Great film about football and life. Cloughie was such a legend and Michael Sheen played him to perfection. Ace!

  • Its a shit film, txpicly English. When they fuck up they blame the Scots. It portrays the late great Billy Bremmer as the instigator, for getting Clough sacked.Ask anybody who played with wee Billy. And they will tell you, that he was not like that.Clough got himself the sack.He proved he was a good boss at Forrest.Who also had Scots in there Euro cup winning teams.

  • @legandrydirk ask anybody who did what he said and the will say he wasn't bad that makes sense

  • @leon2156 None of the Leeds team wanted anything to do with the book, pretty sure the Clogh familly never wanted anything to do with it to.I think they sued the fella that wrote the book. The guy that played Bremner, could not act for tofee to.What kind of accent was that, apart from a English one?You could hear his English accent through it.Sheen did a good job,on Clough though.

  • I love this film so much! It's one of my favourite films, partly because I'm a Middlesbrough F.C fan ahaha. And Brian Clough was from Boro. Such a brilliant film.

  • I was reading a book called soccernomics and it talked about how these guys were amazing at buying and selling players. Cant wait to check out this movie. Btw I recommend the book

  • i loooooooooooooooooove the classic stuff, the pure '70-'80 theme.with the these day camera effect

  • Magnificent inspiring sports saga about the Clough-Taylor partnership which transformed the English and the world's game--the real football, the beautiful game.

  • 1:44 nice east stand there...which was built in 1990's this film has so many errors its unbelievable

  • Football is a beautiful game and needs to be played beautifully.

  • what is the music that starts at 0:16 & ends at 0:58 anybody knows?

  • @pitterbradleyful Belend

  • not anymore you're not

  • I've got one thing to say despite this film being one of future Oscar-winner Tom Hooper's pre-King's Speech films: WHY CAN'T SONY PICTURES CLASSICS RELEASE THIS FILM IN AMERICA?!!

  • I just watched this again - for those who haven't seen the movie imagine David Brent as a football manager. Bloody awesome! Easily top 3 of my favorite sports movies and definitely the funniest.

  • Compelling performance from Michael Sheen as a compelling man Brian Clough.

  • wow..fantastic..faboulous ..watched this in webmovietube

  • Press pause and play again. Than press "7" for an awesome bodycheck :D:D

  • great movie

  • tons of footage was cut from the movie which was a shame.

on 0 .43 this scene was filmed about 10 times to get it right, if you can see the union jack flag in the crowd the director had a whinge about it he and asked me to put it away as he did not want it in the scene but he added this scene with it in and it apears in a few diffrent scenes. i just noticed myself at 1.49 behind colm meaney holding a small smiley corner flag up haha.

  • I like this Michael Sheen guy, Charlie who??

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME THE NAME OF THE SONG IN THIS CLIP: P-L-E-A-S-E!!!!!!!!!

  • @pupRu33 It's Dan Hartman's "Free Ride" watch?v=H4pSDR0xE2Y&feature=related

At least i think this is the song that you are talking about.

  • @pupRu33 The other is 'Geraldine' by Glasvegas.

  • This was a great movie - Michael Sheen (the latest in a long, long list of British cinema and stage actors) is a serious, serious talent.

Why is it everytime I watch a British movie, I am unable to watch a Hollywood movie for a couple days without a grimace? It could be anything: Four Lions, Howard's End, RocknRolla, Four Weddings, Long Good Friday, Brassed Off, this one or countless others- I feel the same way - British films take their audiences more seriously...and it cuts across all genres.

  • fantastic website webmovietube,to watch free online movies..

  • did anyone else notice during some parts of the movie they were playing "glory glory man united"?

  • @TheSmilesandJoy

    glory glory *leeds* united

  • @ufg2

no, the lyrics for that song are different.

for glory glory leeds united it goes "glory glory leeds united, glory glory leeds united, glory glory leeds united, they're the greatest football team in all the land"

and in glory glory man united it goes "glory glory man united, glory glory man united, glory glory man united, as the reds go marching on on on"

i am sure i heard the second one.

  • this movie is awesome..going to watch this in webmovietube

  • Does anyone know the name of the song that is (soft piano tune) played in the background for many times throughout the movie? It's played when they show the years and wind them back or forward. Been digging around the web and can't find a soundtrack list.

  • webmovietube is an amazinf website to watch movies online for free

  • whats the song called in this trailer??? btw this is my fave film

  • @dod973 Geraldine by Glasvegas

  • njoyed this great movie in webmovietube

  • Eight people are supporters of Leeds United.

  • I've never known an actor who visually resembles a rodent as much as Michael Sheen. The guy ruins every film he appears in simply by showing up.

  • @KarenMalone jealous little weirdo.

  • Great trailer man!! going to watch this in webmovietube

  • He is the brother of charlie sheen

  • @folladordeprostis No he's not. Charlie Sheen is american and Michael Sheen is british. Charlie Sheen (Carlos Irwin Estévez) is brothers with Emilio Estévez.

  • Sheen was brilliant in this one ! <3

  • sorry i'm AC MILAN fan,i respect clough, but in the final of movie they said that brian is the last manager that win 2 european leagues in 2 years...IT'S NO TRUE!the last man is ARRIGO SACCHI with AC MILAN IN 1989 AND 1990!GIVE TO DEVIL WHAT IS HIS!

  • @MrDodo76 It was said ENGLISH manager ^^

  • after watching the damned united it makes me hate LEEDS UTD even more. brian clough won in the end he bet revie.

  • @gledzuk ...IF YOU HATE LEEDS UNITED HAVE A GO

  • Brian Cough+Peter Taylor = brilliant

Brian Clough on his own = disgrace

He definately was a genius though, too sure of himself and out of control without Pete...

  • I ' VEEE LOVE THIS GAME ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

  • Want to watch this, never have but would give me more of a picture to as what happened, i already know the story ofc & know what happened but this is a movie so would be nice to be able to, see it.

  • @TheLufctillidie he says he's going to fight him not thank him

  • HE WAS A COCKY PETTY LITTLE MAN WHO BURNT DON REVIES OFFICE FURNITURE IN THE CAR PARK PLUS HIS ASSASITIANT TAYLOR WON THE CUPS HE WAS THE BRAINS BEHIND THE OPERATION.

  • @98raza20

lies that was written in the book the dammed united witch was full of mde up stuff about him

  • Great movie, Sheen pegs it perfect

  • Those were the days when you could afford to take your kids to a MATCH

  • If anyone would like to get their story of when they met Cloughie in a new book, please get in touch and drop me a line

  • Wasn't a huge fan of the movie when I saw it first, Brian Clough was a bit before my time, I'm 27 and only ever remember him getting relegated with Forest around 92/93.

Watched a 4OD documentary on Clough last week and it was fantastic, really opened my mind about the man, then I knew exactly how good Sheens performance in this movie is. He mimicks Clough perfectly! Gonna go watch this again now that I know a bit more about what ACTUALLY happened :)

  • @SeamusMuldoon i am lucky enough to have lived through cloughie's rein, i saw him take forest from nowhere to european champions, and he did it, not like the fergies and mourinos, who have millions at their beck and call, he moulded good players and made them great, he is one of the best managers ever in the history of the game. The best 5 managers ever, Brian Clough, Bill Shankly, Bob Paisley, Don Revie and Jock Stein, you won't know them either, but I suggest you research them.

  • The song is Geraldine by Glasvegas

  • what a movie! what a movie!!

  • great film !! LEEDS UNITED!! :D

  • Men like Clough, Muhammad Ali & Malcolm X are a rare breed that is almost extinct.

Men of honour who spoke without fear.

Even a gun to their heads would never make them flinch.

Today's world is full of yes men & darn right cowards !!!

  • @1LaneOnly suppose mourinho and fergie are yes men?

  • @CraigWeir1986

    Yes they are...

  • what's the name of the last song?

  • lol

  • Great Fucking Football Movie!!!!!!!!!

  • Wat a film!

  • SIMMONS!!!

  • Come on you rams!

  • This is AMAZING!!!!

  • Just seen this today- AMAZING FILM

    Loved it

  • The old football stadium that they used to represent the Derby County ground - does anyone know which ground that is?

  • colchester i think

  • @ekul85 Is it still like that? It really reminds me of a 70s football stadium but there can't be many left that still look like that. Is it still in use?

  • dont know mate, i hae the film on blu ray it says on extras what ground il have to watch again to confirm, brilliant film tho but clough didnt really hate revie like that lol

  • Yes he did!

  • saltergate (chesterfield) i understand

  • What is the music from 1:27 ?

  • GREAT FILM!! LEEDS! M.O.T

  • Very good film and great actor! Michael was always his character and I never once felt him to be acting. I wonder how good he would be in a romance period piece. That scene between himself and his friend was really heart felt and tricky to do to come off real. So with a woman he must be fantastic!! Can't wait! I bet he could give James McAvoy a run for his money.

  • excellent movie guys :) - a really fun film. i found a copy at "bigmovies4free" - hope they make another :P

  • Ahh,Amazing. (: I love the fact that michael sheen is starring in this movie,He's one of the best actors in my opinion :P he's so different in underworld 1 and 3. :) he'll be great in new moon, proly the only thing good in it (: ( kidding :) )

    x

  • The book was a load of bollocks (good still). It made out Clough was some depressive maniac - the film's just about closer to the truth.

  • It's a good film but it's not faithful enough to the book. Okay, I've heard Timothy Spall, amongst others, say that narrative in cinema is a cop-out but this has too much of a happy ending and misses too much of the book out.

  • yeah but the book wasn't an accurate account of Clough's time at leeds. A lot of fiction was placed in there to make things more entertaining

  • wow he played such a different guy in underworld, great actor!

  • joe dempsies in this:Dx

  • I love this! But whats the name of the song in the beginning?

  • cant wait to see this film

  • mighty leeds dieing to see this movie

  • Ahhhhhhh Glasvegas luv em'

  • I live in the states, and I am very eager to see this film! Looks great! Sheen strikes again :)

  • DITTO!!

  • "I think you're the best young manager in this country."

"Thank you. I'm the best old one too"

    Lol.

  • I'm afraid we have to part company

Fine It'll cost you 25 grand

Who do you think you are?

    Brian Clough

    No league title

    No champions of England

    Not without Brian Clough

    Full Stop

  • One of the best movies i've ever seen

  • I heard the other day the same makers are working on another project like this, something to do with Aston Villa winning the the european cup.

  • Those were the days when I loved football.

  • Yeahh. It was so much more intresting when any club was capable of winning the league. Moneys ruinedthe beautiful game.

  • @manweller1 me 2 when i lived in derby now in usa

  • Does Michael Sheen now specialize in playing real life figures?

  • Michael Sheen is actually played by a young Colin Bennett (Mr.Bennett from Take Hart), and has never existed in any real sense...

  • "clough I've had enough!

    so what ya gonna do?

    Im going to fight him"

    hahahahaha

  • "Football is a beautiful game, it needs to be played beautifuly"

"Stay in position, keep the shape.."

"Any chance a get, flatten Paul flippin' Madeley."

    Aha! Class stuff.

  • Who do you think you are?

    Brian Clough

  • I wonder who would play arsene wenger in a movie....Michael sheen is awesome btw. Great portrayal of the legend brian clough

  • cracking film, really enjoyed it :P

  • I agree. I know absolutely nothing about football and loved every minute of it. Michael Sheen is an amazing actor.

  • 1:43 thats beeston int it!!

  • that kid in the blue t-shirt goes to my school and he is in my year

  • what school

  • Justice 4 the 96

    not a liverpool fan

    just a football fan

effected by a normal football fans worst nightmare

  • Who else from English football would make an interesting subject for a film?

    I nominate:

Jimmy Greaves (the forgotten story of '66)

    Alex Ferguson (the 89/90 season)

Gazza (could flit around his life)

Matt Busby (two key segments - '58 and '68)

Bobby Moore ('66 from his perspective is an emotional tale, as is the treatment of him in retirement)

Oh, and someone needs to remake that bloody awful George Best film, pronto!

  • Oh, and another one that springs to mind is Hillsborough from the perspective of Kenny Dalglish and the players. In delicate hands, it could become the British Field of Dreams. (Of course, Jimmy McGovern already tackled the subject from a fan's POV, fantastically might I add.)

  • I would have cast Philip Glenister as Don Revie. Dead Ringer!!!

  • This film was filmed at my local team the mighty CHESTERFIELD FC !!!!! soo thats why they painted saltergate green lol.

  • Damn, I'm jealous! You assholes over in England get to watch this movie while I sit here in a nation that can't accept football as a sport! Argh!

  • prick

  • Yeah, but you have to admit that Americans are vile people. I want to get out of here so bad.

  • It's getting a limited release in the States in September.

  • wots the name of both the songs?

  • what's the song at the start?

  • Free Ride-Audio Adrenaline

  • or by Edgar Winter Group

  • what is the name of the song that strats at 0:15

  • It's Free Ride, dunno who sings it though.

  • It was originally by Edgar Winter, but this version is by Audio Adrenaline.

As for the movie, it looks really good and I may go and see it soon.

  • in the damned utd dies the ledgend brian clougth go to forest cus i know he did in real life

  • gd filn

  • if you wanna be loved, youre gonna have to chaaange!

  • Does anybody know what the word is when he says "Thankyou and the best ____ one too"

  • best old one too

  • I thought so just didn't sound right in my head LOL thankyou :D

  • old

  • the film didn't do clough justice, he was a gr8r man then the movie showed, id don't like how they belittled him with taylor(if u watched the movie u no which seen i mean won't ruin it 4 u if u havent) also the revie interview annoyed me, plus he never drank when at derby like they portraied or smoked. n all movie he woz smokin n drinkin n stressd 2 fuck when he woznt

  • Remember the book and film are fictionalised accounts of him. There are a LOT of deliberate factual errors
