Easy to say from your desk. People fail to realize that a cop's first duty is to go home to their family alive at the end of a shift. The police weren't endangering innocent lives like this idiot was. And as far as blocking the highway, god forbid they should inconvenience a few people in order to give themselves a safe place to work. As a firefighter I know the last way I want to go is to be taken out by a distracted driver. Shut it down, finish whatever you have to do, then open it up.
