@proferrando The majority of Brits were opposed to the EU financial transaction tax, so YES he is fighting for democracy, you typically ignorant foreigner. It's beginning to look like only the UK and Scandinavia still know what democracy is...
@asdasdasdfdfd333 There was a referendum in UK on this issue? No. However, if British citizens don't like Eu policies they can ever overthrow the ruling parties with their vote in order to leave the Eu. But they didn't. So Farage is not fighting for democracy, he's lobbying for banks. There's a thin difference, you utterly ignorant briton.
Excellent! But look at that dreadful fat-cat Barroso smirking. Not care he for the suffering of millions of European people because of his idiotic incompetence. Communists are like that.
Did you know that he and his obedient monkey, van Rumpoy took separate private jets to go to a "meeting" - both jets left within 4 hours of each other. Criminal is what I call it and the peoples of Europe will too - one day soon.
The reason why these idiots smile and dont take Farage seriously is because they fill there own pockets with cash. Farage is the true light for democracy.
People have heard non sense for so long, that when someone like Minister Farage speaks the truth, it sounds crazy to them.....just like here in the US
@benter1978 I'm Belgian and I agree with it. Van Rompuy was never elected and very few people would have voted for him. He wasn't liked anyway so he could only get to power the Belgian or EU way: undemocratically. Van Rompuy acts like a weak nerdy politician on the outside, but never underestimate him, he's indeed very dangerous.
Farage wasn't joking of course about Barroso being a Maoist supporter.

"... nice to see an elected prime minister from a proper country..."
I don't think that Belgium was happy with that.
But everybody else (I guess) finds it funny.
