  • Nice, I liked the history. Where are the episodes of he-man at the beginning when he finds out his power?

  • This was really good, but maybe you could redo it and put in some of the She-ra stuff. I really liked the music :)

  • When Cringer turns into Battle Cat, he's supposed to say "And I have the power too!", but it was replaced by him roaring.

  • At 2:00, the old sorceress shows He-Man & She-Ra's swords.

  • Where is the scene with old and new sorceress from? I don't remember ever seeing that.

  • nice history! background music is wrong, though.

  • Excellent job, I got goosebumps.

  • 2:30-3:05 what episode was that

  • The only part left out is where Adam first learns of Castle Greyskull. You could've used part of the opening where he says "fabulous secrets were revealed to me the day I raised my sword and said 'by the power of greyskull, I have the power!' "

  • FALTOU A PARTE DA SHE-RA

  • motuc movie part 1 and motuc movie part 2 are here..Check it out!

  • Excellent.

  • Fantastic!

  • Awesome! I didn't even know half of these historical things were in the series!

  • You seem to have left out the part about the wizard Morgoth. Had it not been for him then the Horde scouting party would never came to Eternia in the first place, thus Teelana would never have sought out Castle Greyskull, never met Kodak Ungul, and never became The Sorceress. Morgoth (minor character that he was) was the TRUE beginning of the story (according to the episode "Origin of The Sorceress").

  • Very good, though I would have left the music out and just used the dialog, like I did with G1 Transformers.

  • This is class. Be really interested to know what episode(s) you used in the vid.

  • @pgl0897 I recognize clips from "The Origin of the Sorceress", "The Rainbow Warrior", "Teela's Quest", "Reunions" (Episode 4 of She-Ra's introductory five-parter "The Sword of She-Ra" aka "Secret of the Sword"), "Battlecat", "Diamond Ray of Disappearance," the introductory credits, and "The Arena". I don't know where Skeletor's first line of dialogue comes from, though.

  • Does anyone know the name of this song or artist?

  • That was nice and epic; and I am glad you ended with a statement displaying He-Man's morality and love of peace.

  • i noticed when tellana becomes the sorceress her eyes goes from blue to brown or black.

  • there goes that scary as lluminati music

  • Well done. This collection of scenes is almost exactly what I have believe the beginning of a MOTU feature film should be. It should show these things happening just as you have here, but with the credits over top. Thus, catching the casual viewer up to speed on the background of He-Man's life, and the lives of those central to his story.

  • Iranianhayhaya

  • man waaaaaaooo well well well done!!!!

  • This was worth every second, i love it!

  • THANKS FOR THE CHILDHOOD MEMORIES.

  • great video, when's the 2nd half coming? :D

  • Wonderful , you are great !

  • Cool on an epic scale. Well done!

  • What is the music playing in the background?

  • I've always wondered exactly how did Adam become He-man for the first time in the original series.

In the intro he says "Fabulous secret power was revealed to me, the day I held a loft my magic sword and said...."

Which suggests he did not know that he did not know that he would transform to He-man for the first time he did it.

So basically he just decided one day to hold his sword up and shout "By the power of Grayskull", even though he had no reason to think anything would happen.

  • well done :)

  • The part where Adora becomes She-Ra was left out. Still, very good compilation.

  • It was generally just meant as a He-Man history vid, I might do a She-Ra based one some day. :)

  • SKELETOR is the best!!

  • So She-ra's sword did exist before her series. I love the MoTU mythology that predates Adam and Adora's births. There was so much story untapped for the 200X toon.

  • @JMan1380 yh, the back stories provided in She-Ra pretty much summed up that the Swords were in place ... the word is, had Mike Young Productions not gone bankrupt, She-Ra would have come into the picture, but the way the series "ended", I think they tried to tie up loose ends before being forced to stop production ... even the DVD series indicates the story w/ the Snake Men was to continue ...

  • The focus on the Snake Men was cool, but the armor on all the Masters...ugh. It got old. Though seeing Hiss' reaction to Hordak's return would kick ass.

  • Not that same music. I liked it the first time I heard it on a vid. But now....

    Cool vid though.

  • AWESOME ! *He-man PUNCH*

  • You did a very nice job indeed, thanks for sharing ;)

  • Great job~!!! Loved this series as a child~!!

  • Damn this music! Is there such a lack of musical connoisseurs out there that the ONLY music for EVERY video has to be this same damn crap every time? I have heard this music so many times before that it just ruins every video it's on, regardless of how good any other aspect may be.

  • Haha, you make a good point, and I often find myself thinking the same thing! But I can't help but like it.

  • Heh! So, on the bright side, ONE of us likes it

  • Ï absolutely agree with QuartuvLarry!! Masters of the universe have one of the best theme songs ive ever heard and U discard it and replace it with this cliché that im fed up with soo badly

  • Lol. At this moment i thought "Wow, this music makes EVERY video much better xD

Dunno why you dont like it.

But one question: How is this composition called?

  • It's the theme to "Requiem For A Dream" composed by Clint Mansell

Despite my aversion to this music, I still enjoy a good orchestral piece made for a film score.

It's just that some songs get on my nerves after so much 5-note repetition, and no tempo or melodic diversion, such as the masterpieces by James Newton Howard or early John Debney.

Hey! Maybe it's my flaw! Johann Pachelbel's Canon and Gigue in D annoy me much the same way!

  • nice vid thnx

  • OMG that was ace. a little sex wee came out. AWSOME!

  • Well done!

  • AWESOME! This was great I used to watch this as a kid everyday!!

  • Me too.

  • good work man!

  • Wait so Adam's mother is from Earth? Hmmm...must have missed that episode. So Adam is a human-alien hybrid? How, if that's the case this would turn the physics world on its collective head.

  • The Episode is on a DVD currently for sale, Top 5 Episodes of Heman&MOTU

  • I loved the original He-Man's female cast. They had the most feminine voices I've ever heard in an animation since. Truly perfected the form, whatever that might be. I know I can't exactly articulate what the He-Man story really is.

  • If Hordak knew that by abducting Adora he would create his worst enimy he'd probably would have thought twice about taking her...

  • And so Teleena became the sorceress, and got the ball rolling. Too bad really that a third seaon of the 2002 series got axed because in that series teela would find out more about Teleena being her mother and who that mysterious soldier was who her real father is.

  • Awesome, I loved it! Viva Eternia!

  • Can you make one for She-Ra?

  • If you did all that on your own I am impressed. Without a doubt the best He-Man related video I have ever seen. I grew up watching the series and have all the one available on DVD.

    Thank you that was great.

  • I think it's brilliant, and the ending works well in my opinion.

  • Great music! Great remix! You did good. Shawn

  • Very nice!

  • What song is that

  • requiem for a dream from the lord of the rings:the 2 towers

  • untold

  • Good job . I hope the filmmaker can put the spirit of the original cartoon in the film !

Than it will be a awesome movie !

  • hey .. what movie are you talkin' about?

I saw the old he-man movie, the one with the actor seen on rocky balboa IV ...

you mean there is a new he-man movie coming soon???? olease, tell me more

  • very cool..Hope they dont end up messing up the movie

  • Incredible! You did a fantastic job with that! And a great choice of music with it too! Really very well done! 5-stars!

  • That was awesome mate! Really well put together! Well done!

  • WOW ty for posting this!

  • I thought you did a great job with that! I wished you had gone on for another minute and wrapped it up with She-Ra's first transformation. Great Job!

  • Excellent.

  • Great movie !

  • Of maybe even a "Spn-Off" Vid, just like when both He-Man & She-Ra were Spin-Offs Of each other. ya think that can work? I just hope it helps.

  • I think it looked great. Maybe you can do The History Of She-Ra as probably a 2nd part.

  • could you tell me what is the name of music in this video ?? Video is great !!

  • Veigar Margeirsson: Requiem for a Tower

  • INC-RE-DIB-LE!!!! Greatest fan made video about He-Man and the Masters of the Universe...Excellent job manwhoooo....

  • very good

  • Awesome montage of origins! Thanks for posting this! :)

  • Great video!!Thanks! :)

  • Hey, pretty epic!

You have done a great job! And seems like examined all the MOTU episodes for that! )

  • Powerful.

  • execelent, wow, great video, music,

  • great video!

  • This is fantastic- the best He-Man video I've seen on YouTube!!! Great selection of clips and of course, excellent music! The only bad thing is that I didn't find this sooner!!! Seriously, this rocks. The animation from the old series didn't really lend its self to epic videos like this but you really found the perfect scenes for the video!! I'll shut up now, but that rocked!!!

  • Wow! I love this song, and I love He-man! It was so cheesy back in the day, but I think it was undersold. It really is a great story, and you show this through your vid. I only wish the end showed what happened to Adora, as we saw her kidnapped earlier in the vid. Still, I understand time restraints, and all that. But perhaps one scene, even if it is of her being evil? Still, way awesome vid! Favorite!

  • Thanks, I'm glad you liked it, I sort of ran out of time, but I do plan on doing something similar for the She-Ra series in the future :)

  • I look forward to it when you do. I just started making vids myself, and now I see just how tricky it is. How did you get the voices to go over the music without He-Man's original background music going through?

  • I drowned out with background noise using 'Cyberlink Power Director'. I'm sure there are better programs out there that could do the job...I'm just not sure what they are...

  • how did u do this? was it all footage from episodes?

  • Yep, all from episodes featuring flashbacks. :)

  • Fantastic.MAgnificent.Awesome.

    Lack of words.

  • Lol, thankyou sir.

  • Huge heman fan and i give this 5 stars. great vid man.

  • Thanks, glad you liked! :)

  • Exceptionally well-done, Manwhoooo! Great video! :)

  • Thanks CanadianHeMan, glad you enjoyed! :)

  • Great as always!!! :)

May I ask for the name of that piece of music?

  • Thanks!

The song is called 'Requiem for a Dream' :)
