All you dicks that think this course is necessary don't understand. They have planned to take down acres of trees next to a beautiful beach with a couple soccer fields, a baseball field, a basketball court, 3 tennis courts, and a hockey rink. This is just not a good location. Its the only park we have and we don't want you hippies ruining it. You're course WILL be vandalized. Kids go that park at night to drink and stuff. Honestly just find a field somewhere there is so much land in Vermont
@MagicalPirate1 So what you are saying is the destruction of established tree's, walking trails and wildlife is worth a couple soccer fields and a basketball court and tennis courts? That doesn't make sense. Nor does saying that kids go to the park to drink at night. That is an illegal activity in almost all public parks. So I would say that your argument holds no merit and really, just makes you look like a dick. Oh, by the way, disc golf isn't just for hippies. Ask the world champs.
And. I just want to say ... There are 47 courses in Virginia, and only 11 in Vermont. Wow, what a shame that you people in Vermont who have this "outdoor activity" thing pegged can't get your brain around one more course. It's just silly and I think you should continue to fight for a course. Giving up easily will only fuel the Yellow Shirts opinion that dg'ers are slackers and stoners. 47 in Virginia man, 47 ... these are probably the same people who opposed Al Jazeera English !!! a shame
The lady who complains they completely took out her walking trail should realize it's not her walking trail and she doesn't get to tell people what they can or cannot do. If Leddy park has any other sporting activity (baseball, soccer, lacrosse) then they should seriously consider a disc golf course that is easily accessible to the general public. Disc Golf promotes walking and low-impact exercise, probably something a lot of people in Burlington need.
Its a real shame that the two people in yellow shirts, man and woman, really think Disc Golf could harm their community or park. The truth is there is over 1400 disc golf courses in the USA and absolutely no negative environmental impact. In fact, almost every course is on public land and so far no birds, trees or animals have been harmed.
What you have here are people who are just being negative for the sake of it. I had more respect for Vermont before I saw this video.
every one her in Peoria Illinois go frolthing (Frisbee golfing) surprisingly its a lot of collage kids and frolthing does not harm trees/ wildlife frolthing is good cuz it gets the community active
