@NervousGebbels I hate when people say that. Meshuggah does not just use the low strings. They are all over the guitar in some parts but just tend to use the low strings a lot for the power they offer to a riff. Tesseract is amazing but Meshuggah are in a league of their own and are made even more incredible by the fact that they have created an entire genre('djent') which is entirely based off of ripping off their sound to an extent (no offense meant)

They use only the lowest strings, for almost all songs, i dont said, they dont use highest string like A, D or G. I'm only think, they dont need to use 8 strings guitars, but Fredrik Thordendal just likes to compose with more strings, than only 6.
