Why is this not "Breach of Contract" for the "Spot Zoning" that is occuring here? Buyers were told this was rural residental and thousands of homes were sold as such!
I can't wait to document each phase of the construction and like Parris & Parker, I too have a interest in crime prevention. I was a committee chair with AV War on Gangs before it just evaporated! I have been a member of the Gang Task Force since 1998. I worked the gang unit 25 years ago. Parris has no exclusive on gangs
Mr Parker spoke with Arnold Rodio outside city hall that night and seemed to grasp the issues that Arnold Jr. presented. Then to my own amazement Tuesday Night before City Council he ignored what he said he understood, the night of the Planning Commision meeting.
I recorded Parkers second speech believing he was prepared to follow the facts he had learned.
Its like a bunch of people got together before all of these public meetings to work out how this would go down ignoring the facts!
Its clear the city needed the tax the 40 million in sales will generate, but part of that is already represented in the 3 existing stores in the AV.
The 200k a year retirement packager to former city Manager Jim Gilley needs this tax, as does the empty hole created by the 1 million $ buy out of the Bob LaSala contract. Lancaster is closer than most know to becoming insolvent.
But like Chrysler or GM, maybe bankruptcy would be a good thing!
Time to hit the blogs where comments can stay up decades!
Hitting Walmarts PR image has a better chance because they are concerned about their integrity. Negative PR against Parris only improves his image with criminals seeking a good lawyer.
This has become a "white collar" gang led by Mayor R Rex Parris, who defined his own ethics or lack there of by the HIT MAILERS he excused, coming from party supporters against Ken Mann.
Maybe a RICO Act "Organized Crime" investigation is needed!
I disagreed with him about the 52nd Street River, and I disagree with him about Wal-mart. He wants his new house he bought to have water. And of course Walmart will fix that. I guess I cannot blame him but just the same the City is dumping traffic problems on the County. 52nd and West Avenue L will be so congested I won't be able to turn onto my street any more. :( Because I doubt the City is going to improve the roads on County land feeding to this huge retail monster.
I'm absolutely ashamed to have had any respect for Darren Parker. He has sold out Children for his own needs that won't be remedied by WalMart Bldg. next to one of the greatest schools in this Community. Quartz Hill High School ranked 1332 in the nation as per Newsweek magazine out of 27,000 schools and is honorned as distinguished. I will never regain the respect I once had for Mr. Parker.
We need to get the word out about Darren Parker before he actually gets elected to an office where he can do real harm to our community, send this to all your friends.
Dems and Repubs are wonderful!

Lancaster Sucks! Lived there for more than 30 years. Should un-incorporate. Should bulldoze city hall and build a Walmart, more tax base.

King Parris had to support this!

I think we should put up the entire High Cost Of Low Cost right under this you-tube so people can see it.
