I am 40 years old, and have been riding Enticers since I was a boy in 1981. Over the years I moved into Phazers and Indy 600's. My sons just became old enough to ride, so I just went out last week and bought a pair of Electric Start Enticers. One for each kid. These things are as fun as I remember. Actually, I parked the Phazer the other day, and went for a long ride on the Enticer. Brought back good memories!!!

My neighbor had an Enticer 300 special, and for a 300 twin that little thing went pretty damn good.

this is the only sled my dad wants me to have so at the time i use this ssled and a 1985 ski-doo mxz i LOVE the enticer! works for 30 years! awesome sled! doesnt have much power though! but its a sled! i cant wait to use our new 2009 yamaha fx nytro xtx's!

these sleds have huge potential but no one knows. if you port this thing and fab up your own expansion pipe it will make plenty of power. of coarse nothing compared to the newer sleds but they are so much fun an i have never had problems other then the clutch needing to be replaced and 3 carb rebuilds. this sled never fails in the first start in the winter either

Let it warm up for a while. Those enticers are cold blooded. Reason y urs can't pop wheelies like mine is becuz urs is a long track, a 340, (the 340 enticers are geard somehow differently) and u might need a rebuild. And run amsoil! Idk y, it's just better for ur engine, idk if it helps w/ wheelies tho. Plus, I like ur sled except for the lack of decal and the dumb bullet holes. :D :D

The downside is that, because the 2-stroke engine is sloppier about how it expels exhaust and takes in fuel, doing them almost at the same time, it is more polluting. Also, the 2-stroke engine lets fuel into the crankcase, where the piston can pressurize it prior to intake. In order to keep the crankcase lubricated, you have to add expensive lubricants to the fuel, and even so, 2-stroke engines don't last very long.

iv always wondered iv never had a sled before so what is the difference between a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke??

2 totally diffrent motors. there is nothing similar about the two...either way the 4 stroke sleds are really expensive and fairly new like 2006+

Because a 2-stroke engine gets a power stroke twice as often as a four-stroke engine, it puts out about twice as much power (and makes twice as much noise) as a four-stroke engine of the same size

hey, you should check out my video of me on my 300 enticer. type in ''1983 yamaha enticer 300 catwalk'' its the blue one. the 300's have more power than the 340's and 250's.

good luck with the new clutch. that 340 has plenty of power to go across water. theres some pretty cool videos on youtube of guys goin across water.

i hear a rattling in your clutch when it is idling and taking off. there are i think four plastic buttons on the spider in the primary clutch that need to be changed out and have new ones installed. i just noticed that on your video. if theres no noise, im just hearing stuff.

no your 100% right but i think theres only 3 buttons but ya there shot the whole clutch is shot its the second clutch in the snomobiles life lol im planning on replacing it this summer and breaking it in on the water :) lol jk not enouigh powre lol

clean the carb, it sounds like it dosent want to hit on both cylinders.

if your talking about in the beggining it wasnt warmed up yet i was getting ready to put all the machines away and i rebilt the carb like a week before i shot this video. my red bomber just needs some tlc and a new clutch and brakes lol

i traded my 78 340 exciter for the 81 enticer 300 twin--so light and nimble and could beat the exciter for the first 50 yards. Don't remeber it being red though?

the only reason my clutch was whining was because i have no breaks so i hit the kill switch to try and slow it down
