Life would be so boring and dull without the arts. Yes this computer I'm using was a result of scientific and mathematical developments. But the content of this video I'm watching: the humor, wittiness, and the acting ability alone are all examples of art. Technology solves practical issues etc, but artistic creativity livens the world, intrigues the mind(at least mine), as much as science does. Every movie, show, book, philosophy, all documentations of the human condition are art.

IMO, if we would progress just in science and technology, and abandoned all other human endeavours, which fulfill our soul and mind, life would be dull and pointless grabbing after more and more knowledge, with no real appreciation and admiration of world, ending our generation in know-it-all but empty, always unhappy greedy boring people.
