I agree with the point that a lot of knowledge creation is not 'solidified' in documents, and takes place in conversations. Social media are one good way of sharing that kind of knowledge; becoming better at having those kinds of conversations is also important - that's the bit of knowledge management that interests me.
@producerstuartreid very much so, and the problem is to capture the tacit knowledge, which is still challenging despite wiki's etc. But we are getting there. Good points.
Yes this knowledge sharing is still something thta must change, people still protect knowledge especially in construction projects.
