I saw this performed live when Monster was a new album and everyone at that particular gig wanted to hear AFTP songs.... yet all my friends talked about this song and this performance for months (years) afterward. its just one of those great live songs. This is one of the most underrated songs, not just in R.E.M's career but in the entire history of music. It's out there people are aware of it and yet it always seems to be under the radar. I can't even remember the last time I heard this song played on the radio but I can remember hearing It's the End of the World only a couple of weeks ago. Just goes to show that radio needs to broaden their horizons.
