i did just that, sold my half to my gal for 10 bucks then got a reverse mortgage, now have no mortgage and cash to spend until she dies. I hope she lives a long time. Oh yea the gov insures these loans
The Fed is trapped, I agree. They have to tell two stories to their investors, haha. The problem is, they won't just 'go away.' What we could do to solve unemployment is to REDUCE the costs of living. In other words, get RID of our mortgages. Wouldn't it be nice if we didnt' have to pay any rent or mortgage payments? All we would have to do is deliberately devalue property.
