Playing without their #1 goaltender really hurt them. But I'm still angry at the Italians for not showing up until 75 minutes had passed. They were clearly won of the more talented teams in this tournament and could have made the semis. But it was not to be. And for the record Quagliarella's shot crossed the line early and he was not offside later. That's two goals they stole from Italy AGAIN!

@TheMitchellWhite agreed they were given a soft penalty against N.Z but the goal N.Z scored was offside by a mile so both goals cancel each other out and result overall was fair.

it's hard to say your defending a title that was from four years ago. Totally different team and a coach thats four years older. Meaning age took over skill. However this match had bad offciating and should've ended in a tie. Two goals didn't count for Italy. The point is, Italy even with an aging team is still hard to beat unless you have officials in your back pocket.
