  • @venusenvy2011 Apparently!

I'll just blame it on all the stupid people around me.. :)

  • Love the part where the panties land on his mic and he gives them the bird.

  • This song is so me.

  • Damn, the stage frame with the ropes! I was at the NYC show on this tour in the row of seats one up from the floor. A friend was supposed to join me and I was itching to have him show up because I wanted to shed my backpack and dive into the insanity on the floor... but he never showed. It damn near killed me :(

  • Pretty hate machine is my fav album. Can't beat the energy of an artist first album. That's also why I like Nirvana's bleach album the best. Just something special about the artist not knowing they will be music's biggest influences yet.

  • @losepocket agreed. the rawness of their music is felt in every track of this glorious album.

  • he looks like maynard

  • @justice693 actually Maynard looks like Trent.. Trents older...

  • He really feels sorry for himself a lot.

  • @blitzspeer Let's see, maybe because he was depressed?

  • Amazing performance

  • My Fav Song!!

  • what was the name of the new wave band trent was in before he formed nin?

  • this is my high school anthem right here the beat is just so cool

  • @KoRnYwAyZ... You must be living under a rock...

  • Tough talk from people hiding behind a key board! If you don't like this video/music then DON'T watch/listen......NIN are the fucking shit! = Awesome

  • early glory

  • Trent so young! :D

  • Richard Patrick on guitar baby yeah!!!

  • I am sooooooo glad I saw NIN in the 90's! I was in the front row!!

  • This song never fails to make me horny. And Trent looked delicious back then...

  • @cherrylipsbrunette

You just gave me an erection!

  • @cherrylipsbrunette looked delicious? HE STILL LOOKS MAD DELICIOUS AND DELECTABLE. MMM

  • @cherrylipsbrunette Scientifuck breakthrough has discovered the universe revolves around making your stupid cunt horny

  • @cherrylipsbrunette His voice still makes me horny. It's not the lyrics or his physical look so much (which has changed, yes, I admit it :( ), but what he does with sound, minor key, and esp. when he drops his voice in agony or whatever. :P And that doesn't seem to have changed much. O_o

  • @cherrylipsbrunette ...I think the bassist is hotter!!!! :D

  • Nic e to see what could happen to good music. Today he plays in front of 50.000 people.NIN forever

  • perfect "borken heart" song

  • NIN, Nitzer Ebb, Ministry, Front 242, Poeise Noire, Skinny Puppy, etc. were all great bands but NIN are the most popular. These were great bands too so don't forget them

    .

  • breaking a radio 10 seconds after i turn it on....that's what i get.

  • omg at 1:10 he sounds high

  • It sounds so much better live.

  • when I listen to NIN i know God exists... his name is Trent Reznor

  • you know it's eerie to see this.. 20 years later, Tyler Drone is now what Trent Reznor used to be.

  • My favorite nin song, synthetiser is fucking awesome and i love the guitar at the end

  • Just awesome...goosebumps...shivers...respect!!!

  • @xooropa ohhhhh stinky dinky hehehe

  • my favorite NIN song.

  • @xooropa looks like someone tore off their panties and launched them

  • i wish they made guys like that these days ^^

  • @poppetrolletje all the good ones were born 85' or earlier.

  • HOLY MOTHER OF GOD!!! AMAZING!!!

  • So Trent wasnt always such a tank huh?...that gives me hope

  • @TheRapWizard Nah man he beefed up after he put the heroin/coke and god knows what els down.

  • Does anybody have this complete concert bootleg in mp3?

  • you can tell at 1:09 TR was definitely high

  • ha, at 2:13 is that a bra or panties that gets thrown on his mic?

  • Thanks for the upload!

  • i told you id never say goodbye....now im slippin on the tears you made me cry.

  • Thats what I geet!!!!

  • god i was 3 years old in that year,Trent rules and he will always...

  • @renholder1987 I wasn't even born lol I was born in 91

  • Pretty Hate Machine sounds like it took influence from Depeche Mode and Twitich-era Ministry, but still very much its own thing. I love the ambiance of the synths on Pretty Hate Machine. The best snyth album ever made (Along with classic Depeche Mode).

  • its hard to believe a kick ass band like Nine Inch Nails came out in 1989, at a time when all bands were complete shit. i think Nine Inch Nails was atleast 10 years ahead of there time. to this day, i havent heard any band outhere that sounds anything like nine inch nails, both musically and theme of songs.the only band that could come any close to sounding similar or having similar lyrics is depeche mode , but even depeche mode sounds diffierent, mostly because of the different singing.

  • I agree and I think they are still ahead. Watching the recent tours and listening to recent albums proves they have evolved even more.

  • He takes heavy influence from Skinny Puppy on PHM

  • this is such a hard song to sing

  • Lmao! Anyone see that!? Someone threw a rag at Reznor and he flipped them off! Hahaha!

  • @NaturesGlory it was at 2:12 next time say what time it is buddy

  • To me their music always sounded a good 5-10 years ahead of their time. PHM was made in 89 but the electronic element of the album was used by 90's dance music all the way unto the mid to late 90's.

The Downward Spiral album STILL sounds like it could be released tomorrow.

  • pretty hate machine is so cool because its so damn 80s lol

  • I know, but its so much better than all the other crappy synth pop bands... like Talking Heads... eck.

  • 4 some reason i hear some cure infulence

  • song kinda reminded me of siamese twins of pornography, dunno why, they dont sound that similar or anything

  • it does sound like siamese twins of pornography

  • I LOVE NIN. IN MY TOP 5 BANDS FOREVER.

  • My fav NIN album is TDS & The Fragile but this song is really awesome!!!

  • thank you very much

    i love this song

  • AVEEEEESOMEEE!!! i love this BAND and Trent!!! ehhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • i didn't know he didn't like this song i thought that was "kinda i want to"

i think maybe if he doesn't like the song it would be because the lyrics make it kind of obvious what he's talking about. so it's kinda personal.. i dunno... i still think it sounds great anyway

  • I personally love "Pretty Hate Machine" out of all of his work. But then again, I was 11 when it first came out and I was immediately drawn to it. It's a shame because this song as well as "Kinda I Want To" are a few of my all-time fav songs. Guess we'll ever hear him perform it live ever again, eh? I would love to hear the new line-up play "Maybe Just Once" as well.

  • That & lyrically it's bad lol Trent has grown up beyond "taught me how to kiss..yooooouuu" & "slipping on the tears you made me cry"

  • @SimonRivas Yeah, both those lines have always made me cringe, but I'm willing to overlook a clunky lyric when the music is so damn incredible. And fortunately Reznor has progressed substantially as a lyricist since then, so I can look back at the occasional dud line and smile indulgently :-)

  • yeah I never thought they would play "The Way Out Is Through" on the 2009 Tour from The Fragile era 99-00 now Trent is 44 and it still sounds fucking amazing. Love how they are doing Now I'm Nothing-Terrible Lie on this Tour. Reminds me of the lolla 1991 days of course.

  • PHM had a big impact on me as electronica type music producer, NIN pretty much brought Industrial Rock to the "mainstream" in the United States...of course there were bands like Ministry and Skinny Puppy in that scene as well. Most of it was over in Europe and even today.

  • I dunno about a "Madonna" song per say...but it does sound quite personal based on the lyrics, then again...theres alot of NIN songs with personal feelings. Mostly means hes not going up there spitting bullshit out of his mouth ya know..Trent is just fucking amazing...NIN has to be one of my fav bands ever.

  • I can totally understand that Trent doesn't like this song...

  • Yeah, it must bring up things from his past that he is probably over by now, and needs not be reminded of. Probably a part of his recovery is to not delve into things that stir up deep-rooted pain. Most of the songs on "Purest Feeling" and PHM are all quite heart-wrenchingly personal.

  • They do not play this song live anymore because Reznor said in an interview that it "sounds like a Madonna song"! I do not think that he likes this song very much. Personally, I love this song. The interview was in some NIN auto-biography I book I read.

  • I love this song too. PHM is fuckin phenomenal!

  • Man, they only played this back then. After Hate, it has not been played again. :(

  • i wish they played this live now i think it would be better with age

  • i think everyone can relate to this song one way or another.

thanks for such a fucking awesome vid :{)

  • the only fear i have when i listen to nin is that some fags will misinterpret them as an emo band. which they are FUCKING NOTY

  • one big orgasm

  • This man is a musical God, case closed, and the people who dont like NIN are a bunch of retards with erection problems

  • haha i agree!!! :)

  • Well said. Reznor is a God.

  • Totally agree dude but only one correction Trent Reznor "is God"

  • @Hackmoune Nails is good... but they are way overrated.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ and thats why you took time out of your busy schedule to look up an old/obscure nine inch nails song/performance, to make this one comment... bravo /: l

  • @maledictorchid why thank you. Glad I can inform you that your music sucks.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ

Yeah because Korn is so much better than NIN right? Idiot...

  • @Plur307 You're right. They are.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ

Yeah, lets see if anybody even remembers who the hell Korn was in 10 years.

  • @Plur307 Well, seems like they are doing a good job at being remembered seeing they been around 17 years when most all the other NuMetal bands died off. Don't be so stupid man ppl will remember them in 10 years ofcourse. No one talks about these goons anymore NIN so they are pretty much already forgotten by the mass.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ You are hopeless. I respect individual taste in music but damn...

  • @Plur307 Hopeless are the words that best describe NIN.. fella.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ

    Keep on trollin...

  • @Plur307 trollin? Nerd terms? Makes sense... all NIN fans are nerds.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ It's really fun how you turn down NIN and call the fans nerds. Especially when it's out of this kind of music and it's inspiration that korn, among alot of other bands, were ever made. Without music like this, you wouldn't have anything to listen to at all, period. The thing about reznor is that he has made up his own music and inspired others, witch korn never did. So just stfu and move on to watch mainstream shit that people already been doing 10 years before korn, I don't mind.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ You are lost in an ocean of spermy cock come back to us before its too late

  • @eggfleece I'd rather not swim in your ocean thank you.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ Fine enjoy your sperm! i turneth by back on thee!

  • @eggfleece indeed, you turn your back on alot of guys... but bend over aswell. Sorry "friend" I don't swing that way... or rather... "swim" that way since you love to talk about your sperm ocean.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ You shall feel the sperm in this life or the next!

  • @KoRnYwAyZ

    All Korn fans are nerds.

  • @prod1gy3000 You're a gelatinous tapeworm that feeds of the shit that NIN pumps in your ears making you think it's "good" music. You're an ass and Trent Reznor is a clown... so I guess it's safe to say that all NIN fans are total ASSCLOWNS.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ

    All Korn fans are assclowns.

  • @KoRnYwAyZ KORN? Really? Why don't you make a case for Linkin park and Godsmack while you're at it?

  • @hatfisc ey godsmack is a beast. -.-

  • @KoRnYwAyZ and what are you??? lol what band to you play in?

  • @anna291980 I don't play in a band nowdays. I was in a band for about for a couple of years in 2004-2006. The music was Doom metal sorta.. but I couldnt put a label on it really. I played bass. After that everyone got bored with it and left me and the lead guitarist. We just jammed after that until he moved away and I havent played in any band since.

  • @Hackmoune Haha. Erection problems...agreed.

  • @Hackmoune

    used to be a god

  • @Hackmoune you're an idiot

  • Fucking Brilliant!

  • Ha Trent flips em off 2:12

  • Never throw anything at Trent.

    tis a big nono.

Even no. He'll flip more than a finger.

    Try a keyboard.

  • i would rather be there for this 1 performance than any of the new shows! This is a great demostration of trent performing the arts and it generates a great atmosphere which would have been awesome to be apart of. Sorry to say it but it makes his performances of today look stale. However i understand everything has to change with time. Great artist

  • one of trent's best songs. amazing.

  • yes and this performance of it and sound enhances it 10 fold

  • I love Trent <3

  • Jesus Christ !!! How can someone be that talented !!! Trent Forever !!!!!!!!

  • i guess i'm not the only boy for you !!!!

  • This song is amazing, think the chorus with that heavy synthesizer and drumming makes it fucking amazing and then Richard's guitar as someone had noticed. In a previous comment. Yeah this is kinda like a sad type deep emotion song, None of NIN songs are like real gloomy it all just provokes something inside I guess. Every album keeps you guessing then its so different than the previous, which is what makes Trent and the gang so fucking amazing

  • you said it best man.

  • when i hear this song, it reminds me of the shitty experiences that happened to me on my past... it really makes me wanna cry at times.

  • i know, totally true. He sums it up well thats forsure.

  • plays over and over in my head

  • this live version is awesome. the guitars add a lot to the song!

  • OMG! this is so exciting!!!!

  • i told you id never say goodbye!!!

  • classic.

  • hot as ever trenty, i still love ya

  • trent looks like maynard in this vid

  • I know people wanna make fun of the lyrics but when I hear a man talking like this all I can think is "wow he must have been hurt REAL BAD". I mean come on, as laughable as lyrics like "Now I'm slipping on the tears you made me cry, How could you turn me into this after you just taught me how to kiss you" are, it shows you he has emotion and he was hurt extremely. I'm sure the woman who did this to him regrets it because now he exposed her for who she is. Ok runnin out of room now so yea.

  • How do you know it was a 'woman' that hurt him?

  • Well he admitted that one of the songs on PHM was about a girl named Krissy.

  • I have not heard this. Where did you hear this from?

  • Laughable? These lyrics are fucking awesome. I wish I wrote lyrics like these. I can FULLY relate to this song.

  • @BreakingGlass77

I love NIN with every fiber of my being but sometimes the lyrics drift into the VERY VERY MELODRAMATIC area.

  • I've not known anyone to want to make fun of these lyrics and anyone who does is a faux-macho tool who's distant from any kind of emotion (sadly that's quite a lot of people though.)

  • I am sure this was done at the video bar. I have some of the footage and that was what it was labeled on screen in the lower right hand corner.

  • wow this is a great video...amazing song.

  • I dont know....maybe...the best NIN era?...I love that Hard-sexy-industrial-rock

  • dude the fragile was amazing too how did you not include that? besides new Nine Inch Nails is great to.
