  • Thank you, it is very nice I hope I´ll get it!

  • Spruce right?

  • is your guitar Esteso (Hermanos Conde)?

  • Yes!

  • Buena tecnica, pero la guitarra es mejor todavía , jeje. Si es que las Hermanos Conde por algo son las que usa Paco de Lucía. Sigue asi que llegaras lejos.

  • i can see ur point in that, thats all ramon montoya's responsibility, he played rondenas in that special tuning, then it became a part of flamenco, i wonder what would gerardo's music be categorized as,that solea that he plays sounds very unique at first i would never believe that he played a solea because of its structure and different approach, for instance lots of jazz and classical elements...flamenco guitar just keeps evolving....but as long as it stays in correct compas.

  • ricardo,

is it possible to play rondena in standard tuning?

  • Sure, but that really defeats the purpose. The whole thing about it is the tuning and the key you play in. When you change that, it loses a lot of the essence of the form. Of course, one could still capture the spirit by some clever left hand moves. But why would you???

  • play in #d, the same key in standart tunning (obviously it won't sound the same way if you change the tunning)

  • ole ricardo

  • Que bien suenan esas manos ricardo!

  • beautiful. What ever happened to your video of Paco's rondena?

  • intenta de ser original ;)solo un consejo.. sigue a si;)

  • no veas como suena eso... ok

    asi se toca. menuda tecnica..

  • buen sonido, amigo...

  • Oleee!

  • This is so good! I am so inspired. Thanks for sharing it for free with all of us!

  • I like the way you play, but it feels that the composition is made of parts that are not related to each other. (sort of like drills and exercises, without a theme)

  • Honestly that is how flamenco is "composed". It is made of little unrelated building blocks called "falsetas". That is how we improvsise. I don't always play it the same way, check my "castillo" video. So you are right to notice that it is "disconnected parts".

  • it s fantastic... i m a fan now... is there an album and can i find it it in france??? where can we findyour tabs?

    you re simplyamazing!!!

  • Hi. CD is coming soon. I will put a link in my vids when it is ready. Perhaps I will tab my stuff in the future too.

  • Did you write all these pieces you put up?

  • Yes, unless I indicate otherwise, like the Paco bulerias falseta or the Tomatito/Diego del Morao vid, etc. All the others are my falsetas.

  • Very impressive!

  • This was very nice! Much thanks to sandieblack for sending me your way. 5 stars and in my guitarist playlist now.

  • I cannot wait until your CD comes out! Your style is very distinct; how can I contact you for lessons?

  • Gracias a todos! The guitar is Conde Hermanos Af25 Indian Rosewood.

  • I have been absoluteley astonished by your videos! What kind of guitar is that? It's beautiful and has wonderful tone!

  • You really know how rondena is supposed to be played, man... Ole!!!

  • nice one :-)

  • Ole Ricardo! Great playing and a very nice composition. I really like the delay of resolution, the arpeggios and pulloffs you are doing, but the most important thing is that this piece has a form. Bravo!

  • I've listened to it several times since posting my first comment. The whole piece is solid, but I REALLY like the tremolo part starting at 2:15; that's a great melody.

  • Now, if you could just get your niño to shoot the toy gun on-beat...

    Regardless, very nice piece, Ricardo.

  • Badass as always maestro. Holla from Fresno. I have a really good video of you playing a buleria if you want it. I love this piece.

  • beautiful as usual coming from you! forget the "high production" stuff and keep this raw stuff comin'.
