Thinking about it , Two Entertain who do the Doctor Who DVD's now should probably think about adding a special soundtrack feature by allowing the viewer[s] to listen to the original music replaced by something from the new series , especially for this story being as it is the begining of the Time War anyway .

The only thing is, I felt I wanted to hear other Dalek guns and screams of victims ('off camera carnage') in the background as the Doctor tells Betan they have to get out of the dome, since the music is 'raising the stakes' with how dramatic it has become at that point.

Dudley Simpsons' work is indeed genius. His dalek theme sends shivers down my spine. This is more an interesting experiment. Gunna do the cybermen next!
It's available for a very good price on CD. I recommend buying the album as it has beautiful music from the new series, and this awesome dalek anthem too of course!

ris is alrite! but i thought the music to this story was superb as it was! but tis theme works with the new series well! other dalek stories would work better with the music redun! but the old version really makes them more menacing! as it kinda rites into the diologue n the killin!
Absolutely. Dudley's music is amazing and it's always chilling when the daleks' main clanging theme comes on as they glide down the corridors. This was mainly an experiment to see how things would look different - if at all.

The crushing sounds are a little distracting - how can they crush anything underneath with those bumpers and flat bottoms, anyway? But otherwise, this sounds really good with Gold's music added. 4/5.
Hmmm,amazing how the daleks managed to get by those bodies in the corridor.Maybe they said ELEVATE!!

If there was a Digital remake of the Story, this would be the way forwards. But the the Soundtrack of the story is fine. Nice work ;)
