Hey why not take the silver bolts out of your bike and go buy black metallic paint an spray the bolts that are to long? Also nice wind screen i know the 2011 wind screen was to short and it would toss the wind right up into the chest. Where'd you buy your wind screen from?

nice bike. i don't see why people make such a big deal about the size. honestly the everyday rider only needs about a 250. the bigger bikes are fun and sexy but for a soon to be college student you cant go wrong with this kind of economy.

@masterwilliams26 i never look through the windshield, you would have to be tucked really far down. it would almost be impossible to tuck that far down because your helmet would hit the gas tank...

Hey man bike looks great. 2 questions, is it hard to take the exhaust chrome bits off? And how did you change the dash to LED?

thank you first off for the compliment. the exhaust shield was two bolts and you have to loosen a hose clamp and it slides out, the chrome ring comes off as part of the end piece with 5 allen bolts. i drilled out the stock rivets then painted the ring and re-rivited it back on. there are eight 194 bulbs that light up the instrument panel, you can get to them by removing the sides and front fairing...

i took off the clear turn signal cover, removed bulb from socket, put electrical tape over the reflective material, installed bulb, installed turn signal cover-viola!!!

the car horn was super easy- unplugged wires from stock horn, unbolted bracket, unbolted stock horn from bracket, installed new horn on bracket, installed bracket, connected wires-viola!!!!!!

picked it up at kragen/orielys, it is the wolo brand low tone horn for $15, highly recommend-louder than any car horn ive heard and it has a low tone(way less beepy) than most horns...

Hey I ran across your videos doing a search. I am going to buy a bike this summer. I want a 250r Ninja but I like the 650r Ninja too. I worry about getting back into riding. I haven't rode since I was 19. I'm 40 now. I see your closer to my age than a lot of of other 250r owners. How is your bike? Are you a big guy? I'm over 200 and I'm thinking the 250r might be too small for me. Eventhough I can pay cash for the 250r. I would have to finance the 650r.

im a big guy too (5'11" 230lbs) and i live in the foothills, it pulls me up hills @75 or 80mph no problem. i can go 100mph and get 65mpg doing it. this is not only my first bike but my first time on a motorcycle at all. the 250r is gonna be WAY more forgiving than its bigger brother, i would recommend this bike to new and experienced riders alike...
