I know that i'll be flamed to hell and back for this ... (Excuse me I shouldn't have used that analogy.) Anyway... I feel that belief or not... man is to imperfect to disprove god...
@666TheBloodLust666 I believe that our imperfect disproof is proof enough. However, it is great that you are free to believe (so far as you maintain it as a force for good in your life).
@thimble288 I don't quite understand your last line I suppose its referring to something cute.. However what I wlll say is this.... Just like your imperfect disproof of proof as you claim it... Has something in common with my existence proves existence... what you ask??? we can prove neither of our theories.. as much as you hate the thought of gods possibility to exist you cannot disprove it......
@666TheBloodLust666 the last line is me not taking this too seriously, because I don't believe it's a matter of life and death, or life and afterlife.
im a theist, and i Clearly respect these gentlemen who have done this.their educated, mannered, logical and respectful.
on the other hand they arent like the more negative type of atheist who is so out of wack that it makes them more inarticulate and arrogant that it gives These atheist a bad name. i dont hate atheist but i do feel sorry. sorry that most have had these things happen to them.
im a philosophy student and a non-religious person but! there's is just one but very prominent problem with being an atheist and that is if there is not a god or something beyond human power then why do we waste our time trying to understand nature? if after death there is nothing but "the end" why do we care about staying alive? if there wasn't a supreme being life would have not sense to be lived.
@ThePerfectwellness - Existentialism would argue that we endow our lives with meaning by an act of our will. The world is a better place, and life is worth living, because we choose to make it so. Your objection seems a bit like wishful thinking: I hope it is so, because if it weren't, life would have no meaning? This is hardly a strong philosophical position.
@ThePerfectwellness I honestly get so confused when I hear anyone say things like this. No point? Why? Why don't you feel lucky that by a one in a million shot you get to have a life? Maybe as a singular person you're life will end, but your works could live on and help your species to become immortal. Why care about staying alive? Because why would you trade something for nothing? Don't you want to impact the next generation and help our species move forward?
@ThePerfectwellness With or without a supreme being, everything dies. Would we live our lives differently if a supreme being existed? Possibly, but look at those people who do believe in a supreme being...are they happier, more content, wiser, or just deluded? We do not know if a supreme being exists, we need to accept this & just live. Being content lies in accepting what we are powerless to change.
@MULESLAX You're right, Miller is completely wrong here. Kamikaze pilots for example were not religiously motivated, nor was Mohamed Bouazizi, the man who recently set himself on fire ( as others have done before him ) in protest at the treatment of his fellow men by his country's government.
They air it in Europe as one title "Brief history of Disbelief", and then in America as another - slightly different title of no consequence "Rough history of Disbelief"..
They did the same thing with Rich Dawkins documentary "Root of all evil".
I've only seen parts 2, 3, and 4 on PBS. This is my first time for part one. What I have seen so far is one of the greatest things anyone has ever bothered to do!
I watched the 3 episodes in PBS and I can say this is probably one of the best shows I've ever seen in the subject as it's honest, direct and not afraid of exploring any ideas at all. It's probably too dense for the 'consumer' population, but anybody that appreciates thinking, will find it very valuable. I'm proud and happy to have lived in a time when I'm free to THINK by myself, right or wrong, but FREE in the end. Thanks!

This is a great documentary (it inspired me to begin reading the amazing Thomas Paine).
Thank you for uploading this.

Thanks for posting. I'm not an atheist but I think this is a great series. I really wish one of the major cable or network stations would show this.
