  • Vytorin is a combo drug which does include a statin, Zocor. Just wanted to make sure you were aware of that. 

  • So I thank you for making the comment. However Tricor is not a statin (strike one), neither is Vytorin (strike two) and yes, and oh my yes, there is a lot of data on morbidity and mortality for heart disease for statins. I wonder what links you have to the makes of the substances you recommend or if you happen to sell them. Either way, please be careful what you choose to say as some might believe you. Take care

  • Statin was a bad choice for this final competition. Come on, now. The latest clinical trials found no improvement in mortality with statin intake. Vytorin, ring a bell too?

    HMG-COA reductase inhibition is not the ideal route of maintaining a good lipid profile and alleviating atherosclerosis. Rhabdomyolysis, guys? Good thing Miss PharmD stressed on the muscle pain compications. We should look into Triglycerides *and* VLDL more so than LDL. n-3's like EPA and DHA and Menatetrenone.
