  • that looks brilliant!! i love you're videos, i tend to watch a video the whole way through first before trying to make it so i have an idea and this doesnt look extremely difficult, looking forward to making it very soon, when i get my hands on paper that is haha.

  • If you shape an origami knife into her hand by his neck then it will really be the last waltz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I made one as a gift for my cousins wedding ^_^

  • Thank you for this tutorial! I used kraft paper to fold the model and that worked really well.

  • I love u sooo much right now. This was the most beautiful model I've made so far!!!! Thanks sooo much for spending your precious time making a video for this model.

  • I absolutely think that you did a wonderful job on instructing this model.

  • @tvbgalore Thanks. :)

  • thank you for the video :D

  • yaay thanks this was awesome ;) i made it on the first try cept it looked ugly =.= so im making another one. i dont have large enough paper so i taped 3 6x6inch sheets of kami paper together.... xD

  • @origamifreakk There's no harm in improvising. :) Also, you can try using wrapping paper. I'm actually using wrapping paper in the video!

  • @AdamsSara Very smart! wish i thought of wrapping paper sooner!

  • haha, i did the same thing with 6x6 too ^^

  • thank you!!!!!

  • i made it =D 1st try to and i used "A" sized paper so it was small that made it much harder to make but ty for the vid i live it

  • OMG yer amazing

  • I made it!

Thank you very much for this wonderful and very clear tutorial.

  • i have done this model with you

you are the best demonstrator ever :)

i made almost all your models

    thanks so much

    & waiting for more

  • wow, this is a very helpful and nice video, the steps were explained clearly, i understood every single step and i think tomorrow there will be an another origami modulle in my room, thank u very much!!! :)

  • Thank you for uploading this :) I'm part of the German Cultural Society in Saint Louis and we have Rosenball coming up and I think this model would be a fun model to fold for the occasion.

  • Thanks once again! made 3 of them, from a tissue foil (prepared myself following your another video) it was really delightful experience to fold this one!

  • Thanks for the video, I tried few steps with a gift paper, just for practice, Now I want to do it on a good paper, can you please tell me how much thick paper (approx GSM) should I use?

  • I think tissue foil is quite a good choice of paper for this model. Try not to take too heavy papyer, because in some parts of the model a lot of layers of paper meet. As to approx. gsm - I'm not really sure. It's sometimes misleading, because thin paper can be heavy, and thick paper can sometimes be quite light. [For example, tissue foil isn't really light, but it works really well for the model.]

  • thanks, made one recently, and I found some paper v. close to rice paper lying around, I will give it a try as well.

I know you are busy, but in future (when ever possible) please make a video about Fernando Gilgado's "Alien" I have been trying this one for a long time, but it eventually ends up in dustbin :( Perhaps I need more practice or a proper guidance

    Thanks once again.

  • awesome, excellent, very cute, thanks for the tutorial. can you upload the video: "Llopio's moment of truth" from Neal Elias too, please

  • wonderfull, can you upload a video about the man of balck & white??

  • I'm not sure what you mean by "man of black and white". Can you explain further?

  • its another model of neal elias, is the first in the book Neal Elias 1964-1973

  • sorry, the models name is man in black & white, is in the book: Neal Elias 1964-1973

  • Ah, I fear I don't have that book, it seems to be out of print. I only have selected diagrams by Neal Elias.

  • ok, no problem,

  • @AdamsSara do you have the diagrams online?

  • @darthsion71 No. Some diagrams are available on supplies(dot)britishorigami(dot)info though.

  • Yes!!! after several tries i made it!! The hardest part was makeing the paper preciously 18:6.

if its off by to much it messes up XD.

  • what kind of paper did you use and where did you buy it

  • In this video I use wrapping paper, which I bought in Germany. It's a sort of strong Kraft paper, and is quite nice to fold with.

  • I made it and it's so pretty. Again a very good video Thanks

  • i did it.....this is not so hard but is nou easy...it's so nice model and i'm verry happy cuz i hawe one nade from miself...thamks for the vid...you explaining all the vids so good...thanks another time...:)

  • It came out lovely with typical letter paper of 24x8.

Very small and cute but pretty at the same time.

I'm getting some black on one side and white on the other for a wedding tomorrow :D

  • since this was my first model,it came out quite weird(the legs of the man and bot heads) but its still wonderfull!

  • I was afraid to fold this model because I thought it was very complicated. But you explained it in a wonderfully clear way, thank you so much!!!

By the way, this model works great with baking paper (aka parchment paper) because it's both thin and stiff. And copy paper is okay too.

  • & Will this model work well with wrapping paper?

  • That depends on the wrapping paper. Try to go with something that's a bit stiffer. Wrapping paper is often very soft and "floppy", and that makes the folding harder.

  • Thx 4 the vid, Sara! I'm definately gonna try it.. Btw, the picture at the end.. How do you fold the male's right leg to make it into an angle?

  • Just add a crimb to one of the legs. Nothing special.

  • great video and easy model !!! mine came out about 6 cm high from a 27x9cm paper...looks awesome...Many thx!!!

  • im gonna try this...

  • Thanks for your video

i need it for my origami display

  • thank you so much I just made it,I always knew that model but I didn't have the book to make it, I was very happy when I saw it on your channel.

  • Where do you get your paper? I can't find anything bigger than 5 inches square, and rarely 2 sided paper.

  • I mostly get rolls of paper and then cut to size. Try wrapping paper sections, or paper sections in art stores. Not all paper is suitable, but folding in a tiny edge helps a lot in judging whether it's the kind of paper you want to fold with.

  • i made it

  • me too i use 9 x 27 paper and i finaly made one :D tanks Sara ;D

  • Thank you for posting this! I'm going to make it for my parents anniversary!! ^_^

  • Thanks Sara :) folded it 2 times and turned out fine :D. First attempt came out pretty well, it was a 9 cm x 27 cm paper and second one was better because I used a 17 cm x 51 cm. Again, Ty very much!

  • thank you so much. your videos are the best :D

  • wow thats amazing!

  • horayyyyyy! i just did it it looks sooo cool and the instructions are really clear thanks for da vid! hhe yay

  • horay im gunna do it yay thanks for the vid it looks real hard but i think i can do it =[] well im gunna try now ill tell u wen i finish! yay!

  • Thanks for posting this Sara. I had searched this model for years, maybe since I started folding, and you... you... you've put an end to my pain and search (LOL). Thanks, I really appreciate it.

  • Wonderful video, nice and clear. I folded one from this and it turned out quite nicely.

    Well done.

  • Congrats, good to hear that people are successfully finishing this model - just mere hours after my upload. :)

  • It's much simpler than you imagine when you first see the model

    It's very beautiful too

Thanks for another very nice video =]

  • Good to hear that I managed to make it clear enough to be rated as "simpler than you imagine". Neil Elias mostly documented his models with crease patterns and a drawing here and there. So there was lots of room to play with which steps to do when and how. :)
