  • anette looks adorable in those ballet shoes!!!

  • Fred Schneider learned how to perform from this.

  • Why is this called Cooking with Minnie Mouse if Minnie isn't even there?...

  • can you say "sexist: boys and girls?

  • I love the lyrics:

"It's time to cook with Minnie Mouse,Minnie Mouse,Minnie Mouse. Now you out there in your own house, we'll show you wha to do! We'll give you real good recipies, and you'll learn how to cook with ease. Now let's have your attention please, while Minnie cooks with you. You'll find out that pots and pans, can be a lot of fun!And for you boys the'll be a lot to eat before we're done! GENIUS!

  • this was such a genius show - where else can you learn to cook by doing ballet?!?

  • for you boys there will be plenty to eat before were done thats so sexist but i love this show so much

  • I actually started pointe at ten years old, this is some of the first stuff i ever learned. To me, it wasn't hard at all.

  • Five full minutes of this seem like a weird thing to put in a kids' show. I might've liked the music at that point, but watching ballerinas bouncing around for minutes wouldn't have interested me very much.

  • Kids there days have no attention span - it's proven!

Poor things - you can't see the "richness" of this entire production.

    It's fabulous!

  • Bobby Burgess is one of the most underappreciated dancers of our time. Take a look at The Rainbow Road to Oz on YouTube - he absolutely rocked!

All of the Mousketeers were ultra-talented; girls dancing on pointe at that young age is amazing. For some reason, Darlene's talent was shoved aside in favor of Annette's which is a pity because Darlene, who could out sing and out dance the others, was far more talented than Annette.

  • Bobby is really swinging in his first solo -- you can see that, even at that young age, Bobby was aware of and appreciated the great popular dancers of previous decades.

  • This is my FAVORITE club clip! Thanks for sharing.

  • Har har har! Check out the rubbery texture of that "dough" when Bobby puts the bowl down (1:37-1:47). It bounces around like a diving board hanging over the edge.

  • It's a studio prop. Nobody thinks it is real

The talented youngsters are real though

  • Not only the dough was a prop so was the bowl, rolling pin, and the oven.

A set serves as a background for the skit

    A delightful skit at that

  • why is everyone on pointe? it makes me depressed that they make it look so easy.. like everyone from birth just is on pointe...

  • yes, and little Annette Funicello's specialty was ballet, and she is on pointe on only one leg for two full counts

  • I used to dance. It is not easy at all. It took a lot practice.

  • This song is also from the LP "Fun With Music". I'll put that as a response to this video after this.

  • Thanks for sharing! I'd love to hear more from "Fun With Music."

  • i love the mickey mouse club! that used to be my fave show...what happened to it?

  • Simply delightful! Too bad Nancy was not in the later seasons.

  • If only makng cookies where really this fun!

  • I remembered this along time when I was little.

  • lol...this is adorable. :)

  • Today's rappers ain't got nothin' on Ruth Dodd.

  • I love all these old Mickey Mouse Club clips....they are my childhood so thank you so very much for putting them on youtube

    xxx

  • yes. I've always wondered what the original mickey mouse club episodes wher like.!
