  • yup, sorry, dont know what i was thinking...Ryche on brother!

  • One of the BEST albums ever.NOT one bad track \m/

  • why the picture pf the "Rage" album cover when this was from The Warning?

  • @theaxis2000 Dude, it's the first track from Rage for order

  • @theaxis2000 it's like the first song from this cd

  • @MidnightRain38 1st song track is neue regel

  • Imagine following this on stage!!! Holy **** unless you are Dickinson or Halford you may as well sit back down. This guy's range is unbelievable.

  • Fuck, Megaupload is down, and no stores around sell that record.

  • @TheWashingCat So buy it offline. You can get a better deal than a store on websites like Ebay or especially Amazon, where the users post their used cds for a couple bucks. You get the cds you love cheap, and you're not stealing :D

  • Queensryche to me will always be a band who didn't "sell out" with their music. They stayed true to the kind of music they wanted to make.... even though some of their records didn't sell big numbers...they weren't about that and to me that's being true musicians. I think they are one of the most talented bands around, and I commend them for what they've done and continue to do....make quality music with no rules. ROCK ON QR!!

  • @rychergirl Unfortunately, they kind of went downhill after Chris DeGarmo left. It's a shame, too. I love Mindcrime...

  • I don't necessarily think QR's move with this album was to 'fit in' with the other bands that were permeating the mainstream around '85-'86...sure, their 'look' on the inner sleeve bordered on laughable (and, before putting the album on; portends to the idea of what music you'd be in for)...but once you put it on, you QUICKLY realize this was a band bent on making their OWN statement...their OWN stamp (esp. when you consider what they released prior to "Rage..."). They succeeded. ;)

  • This song is...wow \m/

  • Can music be better than this, answer is very simple, no.

  • just wanted to share a Queensryche story. I was in a juvenile detention center and this black dude was listening to the only cassette player that we had access to. The tape he was listening to was Rage for Order...so since i was cool with him he asked if I wanted to listen to it. Of course I said yes. It was the 80's. So "Walk in the shadows" came on, and I was in awe. Til this day Queensryche has been and always will be my favorite band of all time. yup yup.

  • if you like queensryche you might like throat singing check it out its a form of singing where you use your throat and mouth to make really interesting sounds go to throat singing u tube videos and check out people like soriah and huun huur tu and my videos at wongraven559 to see what the human voice is really capable of and learn of an ancient form of singing long forgot that really makes tricks happen, check it out throat singing videos on u tube:)

  • this album kicked ass... it still dose!

  • Good music is not in vogue nowadays.....

  • Comment removed

  • I'm old enough that I, too, bought this on cassette when it first released. I already had "The Warning" on an actual vinyl record!! Remember those things, lol??

To all you younger people who are responding here and digging the jam:

You mad cats keep the faith. Good music stands the test of time. Ask Mozart or Beethoven about that. But it's folks like YOU who will keep this music alive and relevant. Even if the people around you are into "c"Rap, you're still exposing them to goodness. \m/

  • WALK WITH ME

  • I grew up on this music and most of these bands.... Band like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, WASP, Black Sabbath, Queensryche, Deep Purple, Jethro Tull, Overkill, Flotsam and Jetsam, Metal Church, Rigor Mortis, Lethal.... and the list goes on and I am 25....

  • They are more or less an alternate band now, but Rage For Order and Operation Mindcrime are two of the best metal albums of all time.

  • this song allways rocks holy shiznick poppin tops.

  • I don't think this Album is as good as Operation Mindcrime, but still great

  • What the fuck is wrong with YouTube? I can only post one comment, then hit the REFRESH button to respond to someone else? This site's gone to shit.

  • cant u all coment about the video n not some jerk. like skythin11 a total nub

  • @MissyKrystal You could have at least spelt my name right. :p

  • @MissyKrystal I shall try and translate your message too.

Why can't you all comment about the video, not some random guy?

  • Heck, todays youth are into Justin Frken Beiber and American Idol. That crap isn't even music. It's the sound of me pissing when it hits the toilet water. Has anyone heard of the new band "FIREWOLFE?" They totally rock and one of the band members said they were influenced by Rage for Order! Check them out!

  • The world needs alot more music like this. This album still smokes. I really miss original stuff like this.

  • This music just make me want to pull down my pants, run red lights, and break windows (I just WANT to, in reality I just sit & listen, fully clothed & law abiding).

  • I love this song, but has anybody noticed how they sing "walk with meat" towards the end?

  • GOOD NEWS a 200 black man who looked all thug just requested this THERE IS HOPE STILL

  • Seen ryche 3 times now tied with dio an heaven hell for the most ryche is no doubt one of the greatest metal bands of All time

  • by very young i dont mean kid but i ment not thirty

  • i saw these guy yesterday and they played this. its the 30th anniversary tour im young very young and i love them they are my favorite rock musicians. Long live the Ryche

  • @pokerus230 lucky you cant wait to have a chance to see them

  • @pokerus230 I been out in my fucking wheelchair to see this show. I may be shut-in at 46, but I was there 30 years ago at 16 and I'll wheel in when I'm 76. Long live Queensryche

  • Tate, Halford, Dio, Bieber and. Bruce D.

    Which one dosen't fit?

  • What You Say????????

  • i saw them this summer in tampere finland sauna open air with my family.and they still kick ass.awesome band.my first album was (vinyl)rage for order for them.great band ,great song.....and by the way ,geoff winks to my daughter(11 years old) from the stage!and my little one cry allmost two days cause she was too slow to take picture of that.

  • I'm 27 and I have listened to Queensryche all my life thanks to my mother and I love them... as for Judas Priest... I absolutely love them.. I am going to their concert in November.. not too mention I was named after their album Sad Wings of Destiny. =)

  • @TwistedLamia you in ohio

  • Why can't young people listen to this instead of all this noise they listen to now. I was at school, and I mentioned Queensryche, and even Judas Priest. No one knew who they were. I mean Queensryche isn't as well known. I can see that's reasonable. But how can you not know who Judas Priest is. Some of these people think they listen to metal music. Pffft.

  • @Skython11 Record companie's own the station. Back in the day you could never get a Priest song on the radio unless it was like one of three singles. NOW it is even HARDER because they market easy to make noise.

  • @samfrompasingtime You make a good point. It's sad really, that there's all this pop music known and loved by 90% of people from 10-20. Then there's Priest, Maiden, Ryche, and all the other greats hardly even recognized for the reason you just mentioned.

  • @Skython11 those who don't know Judas Priest shall be raped on spot!

  • @siliyemoodislam ... Damn that spot must be getting pretty sticky... Judas-who...??????

  • @spacelizardlaw get ready to get raped sweetheart!

  • @siliyemoodislam ... Get ready to find out if the devil really is god Langley...

  • @Skython11 If you want to make a statement, make it more short x3

  • @Skython11 Welcome to the modern era, I'm in the same position. Luckily I've gotten a couple of my friends into it though.

  • @Skython11 Young people nowadays think music comes from marble-mouthed, cookie-cutter bands. They can't quite appreciate stuff like this. I've been a fan since Mindcrime, and it is definitely the benchmark for metal, along with other bands like Iron Maiden and Priest as previously mentioned.

  • @NM156QR83 Yeah. I hope metal comes back into light. There will definitely be some good new metal bands but only maybe one or two. And they're not big or anything so no one knows who they are.

  • @Skython11 Well, let's just hope they get tired of that shit and realize what real music is. Don't forget Iron Maiden , damn, there are so many more...well you got the idea buddy.

  • @blazecrx How could I forget Maiden! Favourite band. No matter what Maiden is the best! Especially the four newest albums.

  • @Skython11

I was in high school when this song came out, and boy does it bring back memories. I still have the original cassette of this album. My favorite 3 songs from this album are "Walk In The Shadows" , "Neue Regel" and "Surgical Strike". I remember Judas Priest, Metal Church, Anthrax, Venom, Ratt, Dokken, Iron Maiden, Metallica, W.A.S.P., and so many other good bands. Those were days when metal ruled, and anyone who didn't like it could kiss my ass. Maiden said it best "UP THE IRONS"!!!

  • @BlackThunder4051 and also metallica said "metal up your...butt (but not that kind of a word)

  • also metallica (i like the older them better ride the lightning is one of my fav albums) they aslos said "metal up your butt (but that was put in a nice word)

  • @Skython11 who else wants to walk with me to the go by this album

  • @Skython11 THANK YOU! in my school we hav predominantly the rap nd shitty music groups, the goths/emos, the stoners, the indie fans, the alt fans..im the only thrash and progressive metal fan, fml :P

  • @satansskidmarks hell yes man im 42 years old but i still listen to queensryche and always will and soooooooo glad you younger guys get a chance to be turned on them as they are very crucial to having a good upbringing and the words will help you to understand life and that we are in control of our own selves and that are " i am" presence and higher self will always guide you in the right ways, much love to all the younger people out there never give up and keep these tunes with you forever:)

  • @Wongraven559 aah, my AMAZING girlfriend got me rage for order as an early xmas pressie today-just listening 2 chemical outh now, listenin 2 it in order for the first time...i hav the warning, mindcrime, empire, promised land, livecrime and live evolution and this blew me out the water! and then remembered this awsum 42 year old, so not only hav i discovered what kept u listnin 2 thm all these years, but these lyrics really do what u say, ty and ty queensryche :D now just to get the gf in2 thm!

  • @Skython11 Im 13 and i love this band...my dad showed me all types of bands like this like judas priest iron madien skid row WASP megadeath overkill acdc....stuff like that and that is good music

and yes i do wish that some ppl at my school and stuff knew these bands....amazing bands

  • @Skython11

heeeeeeeeeyyyy a man who thinks like i do , i like you

  • @Skython11 Some young people listen to this... more than you would expect. There are some like me that also likes the newer metal bands just as good. I like to 80s hair metal, but I normally only listen to Ratt, Firehouse, Queensryche, Telsa and Dokken.

  • @SuRihtanil QR wasn't hair metal :)

  • @GomerSexual Rage and Order began Queensryche glam metal stage which = hair metal of the 80s. by Operation Mindcrime they were neck deep with bands like Def Leppard, Ratt, Dokken etc. just saying, they were a hair metal/glam band of the 80s metal/rock scene.

  • @SuRihtanil did you mean "Rage FOR order"? just try to listen to it. it's uncomparable to dokken or ratt or deff leppard! It's progressive rock/ maybe they had a little bit of fancy sound that days, but structure of their songs was totally different and way more difficult. OM made them famous, maybe it sounded-like somebody else, but the music was totally different. find for example 10 minutes long song at deff leppard's album. or smt different from 4/4. you will never find it!

  • @GomerSexual

Yeap! They were the godfathers of 'progressive', even before this word existed! :)

  • @trantor2gr Yes they were))) Tate began to sing even before the word "sing" was known.

  • @GomerSexual

No, but they surely had interesting hair in the 80s :)

  • @Skython11 QR isn't well known??? of course they are not like bon jovi etc, but they had their minute of fame, they were on the top of billboard back in a day...

  • these badass bands of the 80s all remind me of my youth but most importantly, they never let me forget my undying vigor :)

  • i dont believ it, but queensryche might very well b my fav band of all time :D

  • you all SUCK! I actually first heard this in Rehab what was that z station> look This Album fused Rock Queen and Metal like no other Holy one of a kind yet....lol even metalheads are stuck up and stupid gonna get close to you? sly and smart and sadly too too revelant

  • What up DeGarmo!

  • If only I wasn't born in 1993, these guys were on top of their game back then!! Now we have their newer style which can be best exemplified in the monstrosity known as "Wot We Do". X(

  • I like Queensryche, but this was not one of my favorite albums from them...I think this song is one of the better songs from this album....

  • @avionicswirenut You are right to think this way, you are not the only one.

  • Im 15, any other younglings listen to good music?

  • @aceofspades552 You're a liar.

  • @MadnessMetalhead I am not

  • @aceofspades552 fuck yeah!

  • @aceofspades552 im 13 i remember when they played this in concert it was amazing

  • my fave too geoff tate kicks ass and is actually coming to TEXAS in like september, my first time seeing em wish i could have seen him in his prime.. to bad i wasnt even a thought then

  • 4o\m/

  • man i wish i was a teen during the 80s. all the other girls in my school listen to such shitty music. i am the only one who listens to Queensryche. No one has ever even heard of it... its sad.

  • @porpison I know how that feels, Mindcrime is considered "Politically incorrect", and i was suspened for a week for singing it one day. What has this world come to?

  • @krypticdeception people are too over-sensitive nowadays. and thats fucking lame that you got suspended. its a fucking song. its not meant to be "politically correct". it shows how corrupt our society is. its truth. wow i felt like that was pretty deep. haha

  • @porpison We had a good time in the 80s and I can possibly remember some of it if I really tried. Being a college student in the late 80s was a very good time, even if I was dirt poor. I saw Queensryche blow Metalllica off the stage in 1988.

  • I´m from Brazil and Queensryche rules!!!

I wish i could play guitar as well as these two guys DeGarmo/Wilton. The solo here is pure orgasm. Love it.

  • @REVOLT2611 The guitar has a fine tone, one of my faves.

  • tHIS TRACK ROCKS.

  • Geoff's vocal range rivals that of Rob Halford's. Rage for Order is on my top 10 albums list for sure.

  • MUSICÃO! Quero compor coisas assim pro meu disco! =)

  • I bought this the year it came out 3 days before My Unit flew to Egypt for 60 days "training Mission" and forgot all my other Music for the trip...so needless to say i Played this everyday all day as much as i could till i got back to the states...Was awesome back then and to this day still Awesome...ty for sharing this

  • Met these guys and hung out during Operation Mindcrime when they opened for Metallica during the And Justice For All Tour. Party!!!!!

  • When this came out I had to listen to it alone, my friend's hated it.. although later most of converted.. Whenever I feel bad about being old all I have to do is remember living this era of heavy metal greatness..

  • I bought this album way back in 1986, after reading the review in Kerrang!!, which gave it KKKKK :D. A fantastic group & a fantastic album!

  • Tension, Frustration, Anger.. such a powerful song. Timeless rock right here!

  • @vannk73 really timeless... Keep on rockin' !! :)

  • hey big boys we all know bieber dont belong so lets ryche on ..................tate =gods in metal

  • @MrVANJR I couldn't agree more..............DeGarmo = gods in metal

  • Along with Dio, Dickinson and Moonspell's singer (sorry forgot the name) Tate is my favorite metal singer.

  • Three Justin Bieber fans must have accidentally stumbled on this Video.

  • @nata72 seriously?Justin Bieber comment here?

  • Some of the comments are funny considering this song is about having an affair :)

  • I "walked in the shadows" with two girls. I loved them both to the point of pain.

Happily married with one- the other?

    Who knows?

  • This was mine and my dad's favorite thing to jam on, he took guitar and I took bass, god I miss those days

  • great album,,,this one and "the warning"

  • Comment removed

  • @morenita2g There is another and his name is: Michael Kiske. And I'm torn between him and Geoff.

  • Geoff Tate has a voice every one who is anyone would like to sing like and that is why there is Geoff Tate because he is few who has the chords to sing the metal

  • this is ausome

  • Queensryche fucking rules!

  • Geoff Tate has the best voice in metal ever!!

  • what a voice

  • Better voice more than Vince Neil...

  • @Brenden0214

Don't forget Peter Steele. RIP Peter.

  • Fuck you VEVO with your fucking commercials before the videos...

  • @JAYMAR72 I use Firefox with their AddBlocker Pro. I have NEVER seen a Vevo commercial, EVER, since I started using it.

  • geof tate thats a real fucking singer

  • AAAAHHHH SSOOOO GOOOOD!!!!

    mu2

  • Mindcrime is my favorite, but this song is perfection

  • talented bunch

  • total greatness.

  • WALK WITH ME!

  • queensrhyche so underrated! sickest band for metal

  • One of the greatest songs EVER, on one of the greatest albums EVER!

If you ever need the strength to go on OR to end it all, this album will give it to you.

  • In my opinion, this is one of the greatest metal albums of the 80's. I just do NOT understand why more people don't consider this a masterpiece. It is criminally overlooked.

  • this is the last song that carried on the tate repuation they went south afterward but still the the best ever period long live the ryche forever metal people

  • @Brenden0214 me too!

  • One of the best songs by one of the best metal groups ever! Right up there with Close to you, Eyes of a Stranger or Revolution Calling (or anything off of Mindcrime for that matter). This band's first three and a half albums (and Empire, in spots) was among the best music that metal ever produced IMHO

  • @beerjitsu i never read your coment till i was on my 2nd bottle BUT YOU ARE RIGHT ON METAL BROTHER SELF TITLED WARNING, RAGE THE BEST OF ALL

  • @photog455, same exact thing happened to me, but as soon as I started listening to this I felt 1000x better.

  • I went to the MTV awards at the Universal Amphitheater back in 1988. Van Halen came out on stage to play a couple songs before the cameras were rolling. We had crap seats so we decided to sneak up closer to the stage. We got up to row 3 stage left. Nobody (practically) was in their seats yet, so we had Van Hagar mostly to ourselves. The we heard:" Um, I think your in our seats". We looked up to find Queensryche (the whole band) standing there. So we moved. the end.

  • These songs remain the best times of my life when he comes near nj ,I am there.

  • awesome queensryche heavy rock with IQ chris de garmo and geoff tate are graduaeted university guys

  • geoff tate- INCREDIBLE VOICE!!!!

  • thunbs up if wilton and degarmo are the best

  • arch enemy distroyed this beutifull song

  • Best Queensryche song...

  • i had the record

  • @GovWillKillU

There are no such things as records... lol

  • God, this song takes me back. I had just had my heart crushed by this girl I liked, and I heard this song. Something in Geoff Tate's voice. Just blew me away. He expressed the pain my confused 16 yr old heart was experiencing. You just don't hear that anymore. That raw emotion in music. I hope these guys get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Goeff Tate is possibly one of the most powerful singers in rock, next to Ronnie James Dio (RIP).

  • @photog455

Metal is without a doubt the most theraputic music there is. Queensryche was at their best prior to 1990... but then Empire came out, which wasn't a terrible album, but it was a pretty big fall of from Mindcrime and all prior albums. Anyway, this type of raw, angry (not hate) music fucking rules when your chick turns all cunt on you... even when she doesn't, it still rules! Gotta love it!

  • @photog455

as much respect i have for dio but tate with his great technique outclasses him by far. nevertheless, love em' both ;)

  • @zozozozozozozozozo by 5 or 6 fold

  • @photog455 agree but dio cum on tate over dio all said rip dio love ya

  • @photog455 Hell yeah brother.

  • @photog455 I agree with every word you said here! For me it was like with each album and each song they somehow knew what I was going through or feeling at the time... Honestly, you are the first person I have ever heard compare Tate's talent to Ronnie James. I've always said that Geoff Tate and Ronnie James Dio were the greatest of all time! For me the two tie in all categories of rock.. poetic power, passionate delivery of message, kickass voice with authentic ROCK music! Oh how I miss Ronnie!

  • @photog455 geoff and dio are completely differant, i couldnt compare them. geoff is better in this mkusic and dio is bettr in his.

  • @photog455 "You just don't hear that anymore. That raw emotion in music."

Exactly!! You cannot describe it better!! I bow before you!! This is the pure truth!! With few words you described the perfection of this godsend band!! LONG LIVE QUEENSRYCHE!!

  • 2 songs come to my mind when my heart was crushed by a girl... When I was young young young :)

    1 Sinead O'Conner "Nothing Compares 2U"

2 The Cure "Love Song" Even though I am a Metal lover... these songs broke my lil' Freakin' Heart. lmao...

  • @photog455 Get into Pain of Salvation. You'll get it all back.

  • @photog455 Unfortunately Geoff Tate has always been waaaay under rated! I caught on when Rage for Order came out but most people I know didnt catch on until Empire. btw I think Empire is one of the best albums of all time. Very unigue for its time...and very well thought out! I wasnt impressed that their popularity came and went about as fast as a bottle of aquanet. Tate is one of those unique individuals that put everything he had into his songs to make them just right....and oh what a voice!

  • @qwertydorknut5 I agree with you 100%

  • @qwertydorknut5 Tate was never underrated, haha. He's actually one of the few Progressive/Metal vocalists who hit mainstream for a time. Underrated = Ray Adler, John Arch, James LaBrie (to all but Prog-heads), etc....This is like saying Bruce Dickinson is underrated :-p Lol.

  • @liquifex I understand what you are saying but I would still have to argue it. As you said, he did hit mainstream for a time. He was well recieved and album sales went through the roof. Unfortunately I think that time was to brief considering his talent. They exploded when Empire was released. But this was sadly the peak moment. Im not sure what caused the fading intrest but it was clear and fast. Obviously 3-4 years on top is an amazing accomplishment...but they warrented more!...

  • @liquifex Basically, Tate enjoyed no "Beatles" fame even though he was more talented! haha Shortly after Empire was released, sales on their previous album (Rage) increased drastically! This of course is not unheard of. Prolly the best example is Metallica. They exploded with "Master.." causing a sharp increase in their previous 2 releases. (Kill'em and Ride) They were obviously able to follow Master with 2 more mega albums (And Justice.. & Black) before they began the slow painful slide! haha

  • @qwertydorknut5 They were noticed by the "mainstream" when Empire came out. Empire may have been their commercial peak (hard to call it a peak, tho, when it was their only commercially-targeted release IMO), but Mindcrime was their artistic peak. The fading interest was largely due to DeGarmo leaving the band. Tate was the voice, but DeGarmo was the creative mastermind. The quality just wasn't the same after that, and Tate started losing his voice as well.
