I have viewed your posting of Yone22 many times. It is a beautiful and stunning boat. Your boat so inspired me that I searched the internet for information on boat building and stumbled on the GlenL site. I am currently completing the restoration of a 1972 BMW 3.0 coupe (been working on it for 3 years) and when its done will then pursue the boat building project. I love creating things. Your posting of the time lapse building process was extremely interesting and educational. Thks for posting
@andrenev2 I'm glad you enjoyed the videos... I still watch my original speed time lapse videos to re-live the experience. BTW, my Yone's 22 was originally the Glen-l Tahoe 19... I modified their plans extensively. I also built their Riviera and Monaco...
what model boat is this and where did you get the plans from? ive been looking at plans on glen-l and was thinking about building a tahoe but after seeing your boat i think i have changed my mind, lol. please let me know where i can get plans to build something like that.

@F250custom4x4 The few times I got to use it were great..... no water at all.... maybe a little spray from a large wave. It is a very "dry" boat with the flare in the hull.
This is an amazing piece of craftsmanship. Congratulations my good man. I am thinking about a project such as this so was wondering where I can get plans for such a vintage design. There are so many places to get plans on the web but I would rather build from plans that have been successfully implemented. I particularly like the curved sofa style rear seating.
Take a look at glen-l.com. They have a nice assortment of boats and their plans are very good. Unfortunately they do not give much detail in the seating and dash board details. I have built their Riviera & Monaco about 12 years ago (you can see the photos of my boats in the Glen-l customer photo archive section) as well as them being shown in the plan section.
@naeemeu The boat you see on YouTube is my design and modification to the Glen-l Tahoe 19. I increased it in size and increased the bottom vee to accommodate the stern located engine. The seating if my design (a copy of the seating in a Chris Craft Lancer 22 – present day production.) I tried to make it a cross between the Riva and Chris Craft. I called it a modern day mahogany runabout.
@naeemeu In my opinion the Tahoe design, as is, is a more desirable boat that the Riviera or Monaco. Both the Riviera and Monaco sat very low to the water not giving much shelter from rather small waves. Both are very “WET” boats. The Tahoe has a much higher bow and freeboard making it better.
There is also plenty of help available from the forum on the Glen-l website.
How much does one of these sell for? I can see from the detail and the amount of love that you put into creating it that you could never recapture a monetary equvalant but what is a ball park retail on this bad boy?
@egiggy Thanks for your nice comment. I really did enjoy building it.... also most was my design modifications.
It took about 1 year of 50 hour weeks.. 95% by myself.. Materials alone cost me about $45K (High performance version)... I would have build another if I had an order... $75K - $90K.
Really learned a lot from your posts, have been watching everything!
I'm thinking to build my own runabout in the future, already bought original riva plans.
But my question is if the curved sides of the windshield are custom made ones?

@AngeloMCMXCI - I was able to have a standard present day Chris Craft windshield modified for my use. See Lancer ans/or Launch by Chris craft
