It sounds to me like they played this before "Mexico". It sounded to me like James was playing the opening chords for that song after wrapping up this one.
:sigh: I'm such an old soul trapped in a young person's body. I am very thankful that my Dad, who was a musician, taught me what true music talent is. Even if this lesson was cut short by circumstances outside our control.
Been listening to JT since I was in the womb, ha!
Back in the 70's as young man I was dumped by a girl I really loved. I went out, bought a bottle of wine, the LP Gorilla and maybe some herbal enhancement and drowned my sorrows for a weekend or more. This song absolutely went right through me.
James is a beautiful, wise, lyrical musical poet - the best of our generation. Listen to his pronunciation when he sings. Heavenly voice. He has a great Christmas album, by the way.
This song probably wasn't included on the DVD because it is more of a b-side and it sounds different from the album version. I really don't know but some of them producing companies are really picky.
One of my favorites, may I dare to say.

Gorilla is one of the all time great albums. I found it on CD a few years ago and the first thing I did was play I Was A Fool To Care!!

His voice sounds just the same when he was younger IMO. He is one of the few artists voice has the same great sound live or recorded. Love JT!

One of my very favorite JT songs. It should have been on the DVD. Best singer/songwriter/musician ever!

This song has always grabbed me with the melancholy sweetness of it. Way to go James Taylor, the one and only.
