  • @damdas1232 Pro-Mark PWDC10SW Drum Sticks - Oak

    Oak DC10 wood tip.

A very fast stick! This stick is equally at home on snare or tenor drums. Japanese oak, wood tip only.

    Length: 15 1/2"

    Diameter: 0.728"

  • @ajcf1995 I love those... but its hard to buy it:(

  • @damdas1232 They are uncircumcised drum sticks

  • biraz daha egzersize ihtiyacın var. Yoksa benim gibi olamazsın sürtük!

  • its good to use these sticks for your practice pad. and then when you get back to your snare, use the sticks you usually use. it helps so much.

  • @whathisphac3 you let the stick bounce kind of like a double stroke. You should never have tension in your hands. Just make it all feel relaxed.

  • para-paradiddle!

  • I have a question, first off im new so im sorry if i come off as a newb, but when your playing a paradiddle, it would be (since im a righty i prob would start off) right, left, then RIGHT, RIGHT, then left, right, LEFT, LEFT...

Now my question is as you get faster does the RIGHT, RIGHT, and LEFT, LEFT turn into a double stroke roll ( where u make it rebound) or is it just two fast single strikes???

Again sorry if i sound dumb but please can someone help me out!!!

    THX

  • @WhatsHisPhac3 Well, I'm doing double stroke rolls, it's faster, and sound better. At least, for me. But, if you wnat to do double stroke roll, then make sure that you'r doing them right.

  • besides obvious rudiments such as the single stroke roll, I use this rudiment all the friggin time when playing solo or with a band. So versatile.

  • i love double paradiddes but only when they are as fast as a filler. fives are also kinda fun-ish if you know how to play them correctly

  • I wish I was a decent musician so I could act like an asshole. :)

  • i hate this fucking rudiment

  • what type of sticks are those

  • drum sticks

  • i know there drumsticks but what type because they look different from the average drumstick

  • haha jk there Pro-Mark DC10's

  • @assmunchtv can you use them on the marching snare

  • what? no im just guessing cuz the size and the mark on the sticks

  • Marching sticks.

  • @paintbalesf no. timbale sticks.

  • Just bought myself my first set, a PDP X7, yesterday, figured I knew every other rock instrument, it was time to master this one

I do the doubles at 176 comfortably

and the singles at 208 comfortably

at first, I found the singles to be harder, but then I tried something new and found they were way easier than I thought

for anyone who caresI start an RLRL pattern as 8th notes, then change the pattern to RLRRLRLL or RLRLRRLRLRLL

easier way to apporach it methinks

  • @Valcarion: those, my friend, are called single and double paradiddles. hence the video of, double paradiddles. just cuz you mastered every other instrument dont mean you know everything about all of them.

  • oh really?Because I believe when I said single and doubles, I was actually referring to single and double dick rolls

what the fuck did you think I was talking about?Of course I know what they're called! And I never said I knew everything about ANY of them. All I was saying was that I was excited to start learning drums, and wanted to share what I discovered, and maybe got some feedback as to some better techniques or w/e.

  • lol - single n double dick rolls

  • .If I came across as a pompous asshole, I apologize, but criticize me for that instead of trying to insult my intelligence

  • hahaha okay easy man im just makin sure youre not one of those dick bags who think they can play any instrument ever but youre actually a kool guy so no apologies necessary

  • No I'm not like that at all, I just like music, and I would love to learn how to play everything, but that's kinda a hard task lol

    thanks

  • Thanks!

  • Damn, you just failed. Horribly.

  • LOL

  • omg for all you fucking idiots when u play a rudiment you play it from slow to fast your not suppose to play it at one tempo that not how you get better, and yes the accents are suppose to be on teh rudiment for all you idiots that is says oh your horrible your putting accents on it your suppose to do that thats what you do, so maby u should rigure a thing or two about drumming before you start calling people bad drummers

  • ment to put thumbs up soz

  • i think drummers develop a bad habbit of always using the basic accents though, like 16ths

  • @partyboy3172008 youre correct; and one more thing, when your hands start to become tight, youre not able to play it good. what im saying is that when you have your hands "relaxed" when playing, youre playing the right difficulty for you :)

  • @partyboy3172008 your right you have to do it slow to fast... thats what you do when you tryout for all state percussion band district band...

  • @partyboy3172008 i have to agree

this guy is an amazing drummer with a wide knowledge of core rudiments

theres all these dumbasses criticizing someone who is way better than theyll ever be

  • @partyboy3172008 The other guy's top comment is better than yours. Mainly because he didn't call everyone who watched this video, people who didn't make comments included, fucking idiots. Now we all hate you and wish a psycho homeless man would walk up to you on the street, say "Like me gum!" and stab you.

  • im reviewing this with my teacher, but i keep going UP and DOWN in speed :|

  • buy a metronome as soon as posible, there is nothing worse in a band than a drummer out of tempo. And the worse thing is that the longer you keep practicing without metronome the longer it will take you to fix your tempo, you will create a bad habit, you will play and think your tempo is good but the rest of the band will start complaining.

  • ? what kine sticks are those?

  • o nice idea im going to practice that now prolly takes hella coordination. Iv done paradiddles on the double peddl before but not like that

  • oops at :22

  • I'm a beginner, could someone tell me if if really makes a different whether I put the accent on it or not......

  • Yes ncurry, the standard way to practice all rolls is to accent the single(s) The 6 and 10 stroke rolls have 2 accented singles. It's advised that you alternate (start with different hand each time) the 17 stroke roll. ALSO practice this rudiment with multiple strokes, buzzing each stick except for the last note single. REMEMBER the UNaccented noted are low stick height and accented notes are high strokes. This video is not a good example because he does note alternate the rolls.

  • ah thanks man!

  • I am not entirely sure I noticed the difference between a double and single paradigmatic rudiment... anyone care to explain?

  • Single: RLRRLRLL

    Double: RLRLRRLRLRLL

  • dont go by me but i think its because double has no accents

  • you should explane the sticking in the info would be easyer to follow

  • RLRLRR

    <

    LRLRLL

    <

    <=ACCENTED

  • haha :22

  • ive done from 1-15 but i cant do rest of your videos

  • thanks, nice and refreshing for an oldtimer.

  • Lol that's right FATAL 22th seconds ,but nicely done !

  • I am completely new to drum but found this series help a lot. Don't mind little hipcop. Keep it up.

  • I have to agree you messed up, what are those sticks? really weird ^^

  • I'm going to be a complete ass and point out that you missed the diddle at :22. now on a more serious note. thanks a lot for these, they are every useful. and just for fun you should post a rudimentary solo. keep it up :)
