People why are u making such a big deal out of this. This person just shared his experience and what saddens me is that people still limit God to what he is able to do. God can come in any form. Have you seen God ? Have you spoken with God? This was a great read and of course nothing compares to the bible. It has also changed my ways of thinking about God the way I did which was not right! Christians are so judgemental!! that is why i do not call myself that. My faith does not have a name!

People calling this book a lie haven't even read the book; they just repeat what their church is telling them. You see, many churches are afraid of people going to God directly, because then church is no longer needed. God never made it a law to go to church and there was a reason for that. Christ was never a christian, nor did he need church; are we not all to be like Christ????

@Royza16 Have you ever felt the Holy Ghost is the question? This is a half truth and represents false doctrine and is blasphemous to the Trinity. Depicting God the Father as an old black woman? For example. Or the Holy Ghost compared to an Asian woman? The Godhead is masculine. NOT feminine. It is God the Father... Not "God the mother" ... I in no way am trying to disrespect women. I'm just saying what the BIBLE the TRUTH says. Not some book that cheapens the Gospel. 2 Timothy 4:3...

@Royza16 2 Timothy 4:3 " For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts... & 2 Timothy 4:4 "And they shall turn away their ears away from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." The Bible is the Truth. THE WHOLE TRUTH. the Shack has many doctrinal flaws & rejects the very masculinity of the Godhead. That is just one issue w the book. There very little truth to this book. More lies. If it gets someone thinking about God & Salvation then great!

@Royza16 Over all I wouldn't encourage anyone to read this book.The Christian Church" lacks a discerning spirit..My friend in all sincerity please compare this book with the Scripture,I encourage you to do that "Tests the spirits" Good & bad It IS because I have the Holy Spirit I'm able to see this book is a lie.If this book somehow got you back to the Lord and helped you walk w Jesus, then praise God,but the Truth & power is in God's Word. Any follower of Christ truly knows & acknowledges this

@DividedSeedrox Ofcourse the Bible is the only Truth!!! The Shack is just a book but the way the Lord has revealed Himself to William and everyone else through this story is amazing and very real. How do you know what deep and heartfelt converstaions william had with the Lord while writing this book??? How do you know what goes on in someones depp and intimate relationship with the Lord? @alkigirl everytime someone askds me about the book, and I give my opinion, I'm always getting hassled. I always say that if somehow the Lord used this book to draw more people to Him, then praise God!. I never claimed to know what this person's relationship w the Lord is... Nor do I judge him. I simply state that it teaches false doctrines. there is some truth to this book. and there are many falsities as well. I don't doubt there aren't people that will get help.

@DividedSeedrox it's pages and can see by reading it how much God loves His Creation. Everyone who reads it gets something different from it and the Lord is working in people's hearts through this book, He knows what He is doing and even though many people don't agree with it God can always bring good out of any situation. I have not felt anything sinister about this book and my discernment is pretty spot on. This book can also help so many people wotk through their pain with the Lord xx

@alkigirl The Bible tells us how much God loves His creation... And again, I know,,,, God can use anything to bring glory to Himself. Sure there may be people that will get help from this... BUT it doesn't negate the fact that there is still false teachings in this book. TO GOD BE THE GLORY! I will always end my comments w that. Because even thought this book is not Biblically sound, somebody may be reached through this book. It is the Holy Ghost that does the reaching. I'm just saying....

@DividedSeedrox ... That God will use who and whatever He will for His purpose & glory. I just know some people that have read this book, then got confused about many things. Because there is a lot of false doctrine. that's all. and my debate is valid.  But in the end, if somehow someone got saved or it touched then, then praise the Lord! :))

In the end when the main character is ready to have a Father figure around God the Father appears to him as an old grey wirey haired man with hiking boots and a plaid shirt. See Mack the main character would have rejected a father figure in the beginning but after being guided to forgiveness he was ready to be led by a Father again... the Father!

Hi from Brazil!... I agree with you both that said there's much more information than they should give about everything. And, to be sincere, my Missy is much prettier than that, according to how she was described by the author of the book... Well, I hope that they are a little more careful with the official trailer... It must be instigant and make people want to learn more about the whole thing...

This trailer tells too much; I agree. Glad I didn't see it before reading the book. Also, please hire a real actor if you're going to make a movie version...I can't use this to recommend the book to friends, though I will do that some other way...

Our book club just read this book. I actually video taped some of our discussion. I will upload today! This was an awesome book and would love to see it be a movie!
