@q7winq7 : Sorry, I should've explained myself. I really like Garbage. I've seen them live many times and met Shirley briefly at a hotel bar after they opened for U2 a few years ago. I'm just a huge fan of a lesser-known band from England called Curve. Garbage was hugely influenced by this band. Butch Vig begged Curve to let him produce one of their albums but it never happened. Anyway, I just meant, if you like Garbage, look up Curve's "Horror Head" or "Fait Accompli". It's brilliant stuff. :)

Perhaps you are not satisfied with raw talent that kicks ass without excess dramatics, costumes, gyrating extras, pyrotechnics, camera tricks, manic editing and other distracting stage litter and useless bullshit. GARBAGE is perfect and an iconic example of what today's performers have forgotten: the song has to work even if you can't watch the performance. Watching Shirley, see 3:08, is a mind numbing additional pleasure. This song was a hit way before any video of it got out.

I have heard ppl give this band shit, and live they are one of the best have ever seen. Shirley is hands down one of the best live vocalists. I have been in love with her and this band since the first time I heard this song. I met them in Las Vegas after a show, and i was just takin back at how normal and down to earth they were, I even got a pic of Shirley grabbing and hugging me, I was the luckiest man on earth at that point lol

Glastonbury is always a great multi-day festival. People come from all over Europe. I think there's only one bigger annual festival... In Holland or Belgium. The family atmosphere is great... people bring their kids of all ages... never seen violence... bit of fun, but never real violence. Reading rocks too... but is more commercialized nowadays.

But have you ever noticed how the friggin' beautiful bass player (w/ Butch on drums) carries this song...and he's not given any credit (he's not mentioned on the website and in the official videos, the camera avoids him 'cuz he's only a touring member of the band). I remember noticing him when I saw them in SF and during this song, he just p-a-c-e-s the stage like an animal.
