How can you install the disc version of Crysis Warhead? It has SecuROM 7x, which is said to have a rootkit.

I don't know, it just installs itself.

You should get most of your games on Steam. They're SecuROM free. SecuROM can't be deleted, and has ring 0 access to your computer. It can't be fully deleted because apparently, it has a higher authority over the admin. You could try the SecuROM removal tool, but then you wouldn't be able to play any SecuROM protected games, so you're pretty much stuck with it unless you buy digital copies of your games, and uninstall the originals, but that would be costly. Hope this helps :D

It's another DRM, anti piracy program. It installs itself without people even knowing. It installs itself into your hidden application data folder. Not only is it in a hidden folder, but it's in a hidden folder inside a hidden folder. There's a lot more information if you go to amazon . com and read the one star reviews for Bioshock. There are numerous reports of rootkits, but SecuROM denied them. It's a program that has the potential to destroy your computer. It's not a happy program.
