I love the demo man! There are a hundred videos of this guitar bangin out jazz and that's fine, but I want to know what else it can do and this video certainly provides insight on just how well rounded this gutar is. Love it! Well done!
Whoooo BOY!! That was wonderfully snappy :) I'm just starting to get into jazz playing and that was quite wonderful. Don't know if I should invest in an archtop or not though. Love that 5th Avenue! Great playing!
@Art2703 - You got to step out of your preconceived thinking. Instruments are meant for playing music. They are not meant to be museum items that comes with a rulebook of what you, according to the secret rules of dogmatists, can play on it.
I suggest that you grab a 'real Jazz guitar' and record it while you play rulebook jazz till your fingers become numb. I promise that you will not get a comment, where I complain about you doing that, no matter how boring or annoying I will find it.
@PalleSchultz amen brother! And don't let me catch you playing any jazz on an SG either -- that's only for "rock". And telecasters are only for "country". What a bunch of nonsense.
@PalleSchultz theres nothing wrong with your playing but you are demoing a guitar, chances are most people buying this are going to be using it for jazz, that is what its designed for, so it would be a little more helpful if you played that. It would be like plugging a telecaster into a mesa boogie and cranking out metallica riffs, yes you could do it, but you wouldnt be demonstrating the guitar performing at its best, in its own element
@MjXllcommando When Gibson made their first L5 some 90 years ago, I'm pretty sure they had no intention of marketing specifically to Jazz musicians. It's sound/design influenced Jazz, not the other way around. Likewise, Godin did not design this guitar specifically for Jazz, and that style isn't necessarily implicit in this git's design or manufacture. I own one and I play it several times a week - which is saying something as I own 15 other guitars - but I've never played Jazz with it.

Thanks for the link and comment. I like that Godin ends up stating, that: 'This guitar is not just for the Jazz player'. :)

In My mind, It is a pretty cool guitar for anything. If it got strings, one should play it with an open mind, no matter if the purists tremble ;)

I totally agree ;)
