I always loved this show. I only caught a handful of them growing up. I never really understood what the hell was going on but I knew I loved that car and the theme song.
Shows like this led me to create Detective Moses (See Video Response)
That car went through many repairs. They kept breaking the rear axel when jumping onto hard surfaces. The scene where the Coyote lands on the other car is an example.
It's pretty much done like Knight Rider with an easy to fix stunt car and a more solid version for normal use. Since the stunt cars were very light and easy to damage, the stunt drivers were often decked out in protective gear including fire suits. Since Knight Rider contributed to killing off Greatest American Hero, Stephen Cannell decided to take up the idea of supercar crime fighting using the same idea for the stunts. Ultimately both KR and H&M both ended their runs in '86.
John Ashley was an actor in a bunch of B-movies, like BEACH PARTY movies and such. But he gave up acting and became the line producer on THE A-TEAM (the producer who goes out on location and makes sure the episodes get made). They used his voice to do the narration and sometimes you can hear him on radios as the announcer.
@carpalton Ashley also did a lot of movie work in the Phillippines, which made it easy for him to producer the A-Team over there as well. Truly a remarkable person.

The best role the late Brian Keith had in his television career - it fit his personality to a "T!"

You mean that was the whole plot right there? McCormick had to help Hardcastle solve 200 cases? Reminds me of "100 Deeds for Eddie McDowd".

Cool! I remember this show even though I was a little kid. This show is probably why I like cars so much now. Thanks for adding this!
