Hey chico i admire your work mate would love you to build me a motor but sadly im in the UK. In your vt at around 12 secs in, at high revs this engine puts out a sort of "jap car bellow" is this soley down to the exhaust on this motor, Cheers Allan

I can build 110 BHP 1776cc with my eyes closed believe me your engine is nothing special, i'd take the Pespi challange against your 1776cc any old day of the week, I have a 1600cc that I built as per spec for the customer that revs to 8000 RPM and make 166HP to the rear wheels and I'm not out on the internet looking to smack talk. Just because you have a 1776cc that makes 110BHP big F/N deal..................

I've got 2 years + on this engine so far and it is a blast.

Chico built exactly what I wanted for my 65 and it is still perfect. I have no idea what the numbers are on the ground, but it really dosn't matter. It's mated to a rancho pro street tranny which has been solid. Exhaust is perfect.

Needless to say, power to weight is silly with this thing. It will run - no doubt.

Caught a few "fast" cars by surprise. All smiles when that hammer goes down.

Passing on the freeway is even better.

How many miles is supossed to last a street engine like this??....i have a 1979 1.6cc rebulit running two years...but starting to think in something bigger !

Nice! With an engine like that in a bug it would have the same power to weight ratio as an 04Cobra but with better grip!

5,000 or more. Also 172 is a very good number for a low compression, small D-ported, 125 cammed, 44 IDF engine. That's about 150 to the ground. Let's see him try to make more with the same specs.

I'm surprised you only get 172hp. With a 2332 with specs like that I would expect 200. Or is it 172 to the ground? That would make more sense. I bet it's a really fun DD engine.
