  • i love the lotion belt - hate the time it takes to walk over and get lotion, this dude is a frickin cowboy! :)

  • MANNN...this looks sooo relaxing

  • LOVE IT

  • I get relaxed just watching these videos. Kind of like the poor man's back rub.

  • I can't sleep right now.... but this is soooooooooooo relaxing.... I'm just dozing off at my computer.

  • I would KILL for that right now...

  • I suprised his thumb does not have pain from use over years.

  • I like the techniques but not sure about body mechanics, looks like to much bend over on the back.

  • @inmyhandselizabeth i surely agree with that..the therapist back will hurt when the massage is done :)

  • Excellent work, but a tripod wouldn't be a bad idea for the camera man. It appears he might have Parkinson's.

  • nice video, but what was that a shadow puppet? hahah :) cute

  • nice techniques, but after working like that, the therapist's back must heart really bad! !!

  • oh just watching this has really relaxed me :) x

  • good video it would help if he mentioned what muscles hes workin on and what its good for as hes doing it tho

  • i get deep tissue massage 2x a wk. and its really intense and painful ...any solutions for a really tense hard back?

  • What an awesome job that guy has! I mean, check out his clientele!

  • very good techniques

  • If you learn how to use your feet (ashiatsu) and if you use massage bolsters, then you will do better massage.

  • voice overs. they work wonders

  • This whole elbow action actually looks kind of painful :/

  • excellent job, most do not know how to get under the bone.

  • haha, and I always laugh at the belt comments, but think of this- every time the therapist is fumbling for the lotion it means that's less time they are concentrating or contacting you- and every minute is precious when you're on the table! haha

  • Just to clarify, I'm an LMT who's working on my AOBT certification. (I've known of the modality for a few years and recently took the courses). Getting traditional DT was the only thing that would keep me going, but it also bruised my muscles SO BADLY- sometimes 3 days of recovery! His techniques are very effective, but they're taxing on the therapist and cause recovery for the client. Therapists can SAVE their thumbs, neck, and backs. Clients get TONS of muscular and structural relief. WIN WIN

  • @ittybittypeanut & @supertriton44- yall might consider switching to FEET. Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy. As a therapist you can DELIVER effective deep tissue on larger clients, and as a client, you get more out of your session and it's WAY more COMFORTABLE. It's not as acute a tool as the hands, but you can use Ashi to relax the ENTIRE area(high possibility of sleepy client) and finish w/ hands to feel any residual knots. The bigger the client, the easier to do "Ashi".

  • Nice utility belt. Pepper spray would be a good addition

  • LOL he has a belt devoted just to lotion!

  • Looks painfully good! :]

  • more relaxing to watch.

  • I've just added this clip to my site: bestmassages dot co dot uk. I'm trying to create a compilation of all the most relaxing clips I can find. If you like this one you'll find plenty more on there.

I feel I should also add that there are no adverts on the site, so this isn't spam! :)

  • that looks like it hurts so good!!!!

  • i'm pretty sure this massage felt good, for her.. would be suprised if his back and thumbs are not in pain

  • I had one as a Xmas gift. I was in severe PAIN for almost 3 days after. I got pretty beat up on that table. I won't be back.

  • @Meteor62x2 go to a different massage therapist, or tell them it's too much. massage is to be enjoyed!

  • how much would this cost?

  • i had deep tissue massage on a cruise it was terrible,by this video she used to much pressure .swedish massages are lighter on the muscles but i love how he demonstrates his technique

  • im getting my first deep tisse massage in 2 days... im sooo excited

  • @calberkeley01 how was it ? :)

  • @DarkWhisper07 Nice. She got rid of the knots and pain for the most part. I would have liked someone more experinced like robert byrnes but i'd still go back.

  • I would love to know why are all the "models" in massage therapy instructionals are skinny! I work in a chiropractors office and 75% of my patients are over weight.....I need some instructionals with tips and techniques to use on heavy people. Trust me, trying to give a great deep tissue massage to a 275lb dude is NOT the same as working on a 120lb person.

  • @itttybittypeanut I weigh 220 pounds and I can hardly find a massage therapist that can give me a real deep tissue massage :(

  • @itttybittypeanut look up the profile mgaft1. He has hundreds of videos and I don't think any of the models are less than 300 lbs...

  • Im going to get a Deep tissue massage for my first time soon, its $60 bucks for an hour, hope its relaxing.

  • Please note the following:

    1) The client is laying prone - this in itself can cause extension in the low back

    2) Adding paraspinal pressure increases ext force

    3) Pain reduction can come if problem requires ext

    4) Pain increase can occur if problem is enhanced by ext

    5) Effects on LBP has little to do w/muscle pressure; forces to paraspinals effect joints that lay underneath

    6) LBP? FInd a McKenzie/Mulligan trained physical therapist;massage can be helpful as an adjunct later.

  • jKORE1984 something that they didn't told you in school is that YOUR BODY has his POSTURE. no its not the same for everyone. correct body mechanics my ass, massage comes out the way you and your client, like it. that simple lova boy.

  • Comment removed

  • @jKORE1984 how can he still stand straight? maybe because hes not a pussy? whats the point of being a douche on youtube?

  • Comment removed

  • @jKORE1984 Yup, you're a huge douche

  • This makes me ache!!!

  • No such thing as to deep.. Say's Mr Byrnes

  • @AngelsMedic Hahahahahaha, you made me laugh my ass off :D

    Clever, Clever :P

  • this is great is you have a lot of knots and stress in the neck, shoulders, upper back.. This type of massage can be painful if you have a lot of tension and knots but i love and in the end its so worth it.

  • what's up with the puddy model? Don't you ever work on people who are actually tight? I'm saying this because the models always seem to be already relaxed and it makes the technique look like they are easy. Many of my clients had backs of steel when they first came in. Let's see you do these techniques on people like that. Real people.

  • @angelbe88 Oh man! You are sooo right. I was thinking the same thing...some of my clients have backs like concrete and they open up eventually, but rarely are they ever like Gumby on the table.

  • to get naked and have a strange rub all over your body takes guts

  • F- For the poor body mechanics!!

  • @ollerpops Okay! Thank you for that, this guys mechanics are soooooo bad. Maybe they work for him (Doubt it!) but most people would end up out of work and in pain.

  • @VisionsofSprode Agreed. He's hunched over half the time and he's going to blow out his thumb joint one of these days!

  • great video...

  • amazing work

  • Not being a perv, but are you supposed to take your underwear off when you get a massage? I've gotten several of these done before, but I always wear underwear to avoid any embarrassment. Thoughts?

  • horsey05. It depends, if the session only consists of upper back, underwear is not a problem, if the work is full body or lower back and legs the any kind of restrictive object can limit the effect and sensation of the massage.

Men wear underwear in 95% of nonsexual massages.

  • totally preference. you can be naked, shorts, thong, ect... the main difference is that with nothing on there is no band of elastic or string around your waist to break the connection between therapist and patient. if you hate losing that connection, or you dont mind going nude, id recommend that way. also shows a level of trust in the therapist, if you are doing this personally to a friend or w/e.

  • @horsey05 I have had some male clients more comfortable keeping their underwear on, and I knew it was for protection "in case". Non-sexual legitimate massage is still stimulating to the body, even if there is no sexual intention. Profession thrpsts know that akwrd moments are pssble and are trained to keep focused on the work. I want the client to do whatever is within their "comfort zone". If they're stressed about mishaps -better to leave the underwear on so they can just focus on the massage.

  • hahah, I keep my jeans on for this case alone.

  • TFF out wtching bob ross paint lo luv it!!!!

  • ahhhhhh.

  • i love the lotion belt. that's pretty sweet

  • this is like watching bob ross paint

  • I could really use the elbow on my lower back

  • that thing he done with the left shoulder is exactly what i need!

  • EXCELLENT TECHNIQUES!!

  • love the elbow work!

  • Looks very relaxing, and you remind me abit of Robert Joy from CSI!

  • elbows give such great pressure, never too deep!!!! Great video.

  • Excellent video

  • Oh My Lord, I am so relazed Mr. Byrnes, this video was AMAZING. I am a new fan!
