  • So laid back it was filmed with a potato.

  • seven string guitar ??

  • @niikkoo07 Nope. Six. Tuning is CGDGAD, in case you're curious.

  • 71 people bought a guitar and got pissed when their guitar couldn't play this song.

  • @Straightjacket04 any guitar can play this song... it might not have as much warmth as andy's, since his is probably on the mega-super-high end of the price range.... but a good song played on a crappy guitar will still sound awesome.... if the guitarist knows how to play it....

  • @DarkLionInteractive i realize that.....

  • @Straightjacket04 besides, compared to his other stuff, it's really not difficult at all

  • @DarkLionInteractive Would you say it's the easiest? I'm trying to pick it up, and having a lot more luck in doing so than I did with, say, Hunter's Moon, Upward Mobility, Rylynn and Ouray (although this one I'm getting better at; just the speed daunts me).

  • I think those 71 people have robot ears and are incapable of letting this in

  • I'm in that awesome part of youtube again......

  • Stop reading comments. Close your eyes and just listen.

  • posting something just to be liked by 100 of youtubers !!

  • listen it again and again every day. just love it!!

  • You mean 71 people accidentally put a thumbs down llol.

  • My favourite song of his. A masterpiece.

  • I have a buddy, guy thinks all great music has to be heavy, thrashing and powerchord driven. Never gives anything a chance...except when he's high, then he REALLY gets it. Talks shit about Dave Matthews band and Vampire Weekend and such-but suddenly when he's high-he chills & finds he actually enjoys the music...and that's the point. So now when he tells me about some new band he's into, I ask: Wait were you high or not when you heard them?

  • @liveecarbme Beeing high really helps to get into focus to what you listen to, letting all your prejudices away to enjoy the sounds you hear :)

  • FOR FUTURE REFERENCE lol. The tuning (from lowest to highest) is GCDGAD

  • This is one of the most beautiful songs i've ever heard.

  • best song ever

  • this is the best for me

  • top comments are about someone saying ''71 people''.... thats not fair... i want thumbs up too.... 71 PEOPLE! lol...

  • @TheSynyster1996 shut up would yi!

  • believe it or not.... this is my *more than 10 times* listening to this... in a row...

  • he fingered a woman once. She died...

  • watched this video 2X and am now learning to play it :) almost done, now only to get that soul and feeling

  • @squalljolsen how did you figure out the tuning? is it drop d?

  • @Jayron127 is guess this is the tuning DAGDGC, but im not sure..

  • @MadMaxSkillzz wow, thats really hard, if i tune my guitar to that, i would have to re-learn how to play the guitar. I've already spent 12 years learning E standard and dropped D. It would take so long to learn how to play in a DAGDGC tuning. But god bless him, i have even more respect that he can play like this in that tuning.

  • @Jayron127 It's called Face Tuning if you ever wanted to. :)

  • So Peaceful.. :) thank you for this one ....

  • It could be first piece of music, which i may learn, in my opinion It`s the most simple of the best pieces of Andy :-)

Anyway, briliant... And beautifull ending with my one of mostly liked accord...

  • He's all laid back and stuff <3

  • dude ur amazing at guitar!!!!!!!!

  • as soon as i heard this song i knew i had to play it, as soon as i grabbed my guitar and started playing it i actually felt "all laid back and stuff" this song is awesome! and i will play it as much as possible

  • 71 people just don't like the song. And that's ok

  • @hansijawns It's actually not.

  • @hansijawns is it really just ok? how could anyone not like this. I think it's because they are jealous they can't play this good after years of playing, watching this video frustrates them, or it could also remind them of things they never accomplished in life because of their own faults, to me thats why they click the "dislike" button

  • @Jayron127 Stop trying to come up with reasons for other people to not like the music you like, damn. If they don't like it they don't like it. Its good, I like it. Wouldn't expect people to be like you don't like justin bieber? I think your just jealous of him. shut up.

  • @Jayron127

    preferences man...preferences.

perhaps someone would rather have drums, maybe someone wants some vocals, perhaps a harder style of playing, different genre.

and yes it's perfectly fine if someone doesn't like this.

  • @hansijawns

    amen.

people have their preferences and people should just leave them to what they like listening to.

no need for censuring just because someone's musical taste isn't exactly another persons cup of tea.

  • There goes my hero! Watch him as he goes! Love you Andy!

  • @mathisto21 FOO FIGHTERS!!!! YEAH!!!

  • If you wake up with a hangover, put this album on repeat at a nice quiet volume (loud enough to hear, quiet enough to fall asleep to) and go back to bed. It works wonders

  • All laid back and stuff... with mah Blunt ;D

  • Learning this song right now 1/3 done AND IT'S FUN AND SOOTHING

  • @EpiphoneUser1986 i know it actually makes you feel all laid back and stuff!

  • iv never heard this song until now... yet it brings back good memorie

  • I'm sorry that I offended you. I didn't mean that all death metal freaks are bad. I just meant the kind that refuse to acknowledge any other type of music as skillful.

Let me just say if you like this video then you've got decent music tastes. But don't troll me. I can't control myself.

  • @G0xD13x1Nx4xH013

"Anyone who dislikes this is a Death metal freak who cant understand real talent." <--- That's a pretty harsh generalization.

  • @the727stpete727 and you are? Stop trolling and go listen to your death metal shit. Go die in a hole you freak.

  • @G0xD13x1Nx4xH013 I quite enjoy Death Metal, and I'm a huge Andy McKee fan. How does your generalisation work for me?

  • I was literally so addicted to his music that I learned Drifting, Heather's Song, Ebon Coast, and this. EBON coast and this are my favorites to play but drifting is the most unusual. Anyone who dislikes this is a Death metal freak who cant understand real talent.

Oh and all just by looking at his videos before tabs :D

  • @G0xD13x1Nx4xH013 you're not cool

  • dude i didnt like acoustic until i heard this!! awesome keep it coming!

  • HE NEEDS MORE RECOGNITION

  • started learning it last night. this oughta be a fun experience.

  • @MrCaseybartlett good luck :)

  • @halofreak12321 i got a little bit of it

  • best ever

  • 32nd Attempt and i cant get it right...

  • I want to listen to more of his songs but I feel it would be disrespectful to click away before the video is over

  • anyone notice that blue lazer on his guitar?

  • @TormentedUnicorn vid camera

  • @Mcstooger ah I see, its a little off-putting when watching awesumeness :(

  • 71 a@$holes who can suck it

  • i tink i might learn to play this hen i get my jasmine

  • I hate the 71 fools

  • Dude you are amazing.

  • chill-factor 100%

  • makes me feel like everything is going to be ok

  • I am an addict! I just can'T stop listening to his music over and over again. Even if I wanted to... fabulous!

  • @Raven2702 Why would you ever want to stop listening to Andy Mckee?!?!? ( yes I am totally addicted to his music to =)

  • i love u

  • absolute great style i hope i can get at least near to his skills... :)

  • BLACK MY FAVORITE COLOR!!!

  • i never got how people could dislike andy. im a metal head thru and thru, like children of bodom and in flames are my favorite bands metal head. but this guy has just pure unadulterated talent and his music has a soul of its own. believe me his music is not my style but he's that good that it doesnt matter

  • 71 people are all stressed out and stuff.

  • @Paulcanplayguitar hahaha nice <3

  • @Paulcanplayguitar 41 people like that 71 people are stressed out.

  • @Paulcanplayguitar

surly this should eleviate stress ... un less you used to be able to hear and for

  • @DrumCoversFromHell I'ts almost 4 years back now ^^

  • I totally just made a hip hop vocal line to this. Awesome beat

  • I liked it. So i countered a disliker. IN YOUR FACE BITCH!

  • 71 people are jealous no-talent dumbasses

  • I hate when every other song starts with that loud, annoying ad "HAVE I GOT A SURPRISE FOR YOU!" - people in the office must think I'm watching a cheesy porn every time I jump to turn it's volume down lol. I just wanna listen to his uninterrupted greatness and be all laid back and stuff.

  • gorgeous

  • this sounds like music from Dog Island, I love it

  • This deserves better than 240p.

  • just got home after been in turkey beautiful place if you have ever been to what people call paradise, close your eyes think and listen to this song and you will be there again .

  • It almost has an R&B sound to it.

  • 70 people are rock posers. LOL!

  • the stuff today is crap - this is real music

  • hey i covered this song! You should so watch it on my profile!! :)

  • I don't get tired of listening to this.. Such a beautiful sound to my ears.. And there're some jerks who disagree with the good comments and this excepctional video/talent!

    Great man!

  • Awesome!

  • you could consider him the legacy for the prodigy to rise for this genre when this genre gets more noticed

  • I learned how to play drifting with little to no help and it took alot of practice. My next challenge is to learn this one. Great job Andy, you and your style has made me a better guitar player and you've given me the courage to try out for america's got talent in two years. You are my inspiration.

  • @NinjaMartt found this one was easier to play than drifting, I might just be a bit clumsy with my arms, but the co-ordination required for drifting just made it that little bit harder I think

  • @NinjaMartt this one is pretty easy, atleast it was for me to learn.

  • dude knows his instrument intimately

  • My mom's a massage therapist. i made her a CD with Andy's music on it to play for her clients...she hasn't used any other CD in 2 years.

  • what guitars are these? sound so good.

  • This is the first step you have to learn before playing guitar gentlemen! Just All Laid Back and Stuff

  • k guitarra es esa por k sele ven mas de 6 cuerdas

  • Music like this has the power to lull you to sleep or put a smile on your face... however, much can't be said of about 70 people.

  • i hate 70 people more on this world !

  • hey bro what happened to your fretboard?

  • schehf?!?!?!

    jk.

  • mm i under

  • apart from gordan susy runs very fast

  • i believe that the war between russia & germany sidewalk bunny

  • andy u chick magnet

  • i prefer andy mckee over oxygen

  • Cara sinistro toca muito gostei até demais

  • His rhythym is incredible. Not just one, but both hands demonstrate an excellent sense of rhythym and lead that are easily interchangeable between the two. A truly talented man.

  • Excellence and a master of his instrument.

  • Ad: "Tired of the same old Facebook profile?!"

Me: No but I am certainly tired of these ads. WHY YOUTUBE WHY?!

  • 70 people were so shook up from jizzing that instead of clicking "like" they failed and clicked "dislike" instead

  • His music is some of the most soothing relaxing thing i have ever listened to....

  • This is absolutely beautiful and a piece of absolute art Mr. McKee. Thank you so much for posting this song.

  • Nah. 70 people just grew up listening to things like Ke$ha.

  • His beard is slowly receding back onto his head

  • @tjrules14 his hairs tired of holding on now its time to take a seat on that head and go go back to enjoying this beautiful music!

  • How did He find it though? Ive been searching for years,he has a much brighter light than I do thats for SURE

  • Am I the only one who noticed to Blue dot going all around his guitar?

  • @TheSourGuitar its the reflection of something

  • @TheSourGuitar it's a "power on" light from what ever is opposite him, probably the camera lol. Nothing spooky or sinister

  • It sounds like that music they play when you're on hold by those utility companies

  • i feel like he plays these songs for me everytime i listen to them.

  • How the hell can you dislike any of andy's songs.... :@ I mean seriously! He is unique!! :D (hope i spelled that right)

  • @finnguitarman then u must be one of the morons without any understanding

  • its song like this that make me think, if i could only do one thing it would be play guitar

  • joomla module demo :)

  • wow andy is so amazing ...

  • 70 people isn't all laid back and stuff

  • Playing look so easy when we look at you ! Great great greaaat music :)

  • @caynima i played guitar for 4 year and i can tell that this song is quiet hard to learn today i played it in front of some friend and tey tell me that i played well but for me i'm still lack of practice i need more and more time to practice i know i don't play as well as well andy, this song just sound so great that can make ppl who hate music to love music

  • how does he make that sound on 0.24?

  • @gohkko It's called a harmonic. you get by resting your finger on the string above either the 5th, 7th, or 12th frets, and plucking. You only want to be touching the string, not pressing it down, and you're finer goes above the fret itself, not between them as usual.

  • @gohkko he doesnt push down on the string all the way

  • @gohkko to make the harmonic sound you need to gently touch the strings but only on the 5th 7th and 12th frets but don't press them. lightly touch them

  • @gohkko he is playing harmonics

  • At first I was all stoked by Drifting, and now I'm all laid back and stuff.

  • what a stunning sound

  • I'm almost positive that people who do not like this are into a different genre of music. They may not be blind to talent but they must be very closed minded. My comment has absolutely no significance to the world but hopefully one person can read it and understand that these people are prodigies and just because they can't possess the talents such as these lucky individuals doesn't mean they shouldn't like it. Now my comment can chameleon into the cluster of other comments.

  • @jordanelder08 I agree. My favorite genres are Metal and Acoustic. Two total opposites I know, but I love them both. Any music, no matter what style, sound, or race is music to someone. If you don't like it you don't have to listen to it. It's still music.

  • @jordanelder08 Actually, I don't think Andy's a prodigy. I think he started playing as a teen, but he played metal, then after a while he was inspired to play fingerstyle. So he just practiced and practiced it(:

  • @jordanelder08 true words

  • @jordanelder08 or they missed the like button :P

  • @jordanelder08 No, it can't, good sir, for in a sea of Internet stupidity, your modest comment is just as special as Andy's music.

  • @jordanelder08 lol mate im the the biggest metal fan i play classical guitar and deathmetal/core bass talk about that for contrast

  • @jordanelder08 I disagree. He isn't my favorite yes because I am into different genres, but I do not think he is a prodigy. He definitely does set a a bench mark for the style of playing though.

  • @jordanelder08 Epic comment..

  • @jordanelder08 Well said, good sir !

  • @jordanelder08 So much for charmeleon'ing... 194 thumbs ups xD

  • My Acoustic God!

  • hes amazing

  • argh how does he tune his guitar to make the three notes he plays on the g-string (ha, very funny) sound good together? everytime I play it it sounds... not right. I think it's a B,A, and G played in a row at standard tuning

  • @ChanielDang CGDGAD (from lowest string to highest)

  • @SqueekyBootsShine oh I know the tunings for his strings, I meant that every time I play that part that I mentioned it doesn't come out right, I have to end up playing the first fret instead of leaving it open.

  • BIG THANKS to Andy Mckee for all his great music!!!

  • 69 people aren't all laid back and stuff

  • @murexa1 tense n shit

  • @murexa1 Seeing how your comment was posted 2 months ago, and there's only 70 dislikes now, makes me happy. :D
